My. That's a tall order. Scotland's not so small. :)

In fact my colleagues at work are astonished when I tell them that the halfway mark from Worcester to Aberdeen is less than 30 miles south of Carlisle. When I cross the border heading home, there's still almost half the trip to do!

Do you believe there is actually a Loch Ness monster? :)

I have my own secret treasure, remember our story LMTD and the chapter "The Conversation" where she revealed making love by the side of a loch with not another soul in sight?

This is where it happened.... ;)

I must admit, the scenery is far more picturesque than I imagined when I was a child. The impression of Scotland I had was men in kilts with sporons and playing bag pipes with lots of castles.

How romantic could that be? :)

Hi MSH2 :)

I can never understand that. How do cats get nine lives?

Hihi

I dunno, they need them I guess, what with all that running around in the night and catterwalling, and the resulting thrown boots and such :D

Yes it can be quite spectacular.

Though the two women on the left of the picture you posted seem to find the view up the highland soldiers' kilts more worthy of note.

My brother's cat got run over a while ago (AAArrrrrrrggggggghhhh) - was very sad!

However - It proved quite conclusively, they do actually only have one!!!

Please tell me they wear shorts under those kilts

Well I've never worn a kilt myself, but if I did I certainly wouldn't chicken out and wear anything under it. That's almost sacriledge. Liking putting sugar on your porridge!!

Cool... I'm going to Scotland to see for myself ;)

So did you get up to anything this weekend, in between work?

I went to an archaeology dayschool on Saturday, to hear about the preliminary interpretation of a site I was a volunteer digger on last autumn, then today I went for a cycle ride, did some food shopping and gave blood.

The weekend was quiet. The girls like being with my Mum because she treats them like mad and like all gloating grandma's, she yields to their demands. But, having said that the time that TRT and I have together alone can be bliss. Only this Saturday he took a quick day trip to Newcastle to see his Ma, and all done by railway travel.

I was able to catch up on a few things while I was alone and get on with some neglected cleaning.

Archaeology! Are you interested in that subject? If so, what period?

I'm an interested amateur. I'm particularly interested in the Roman and Medieval periods, probably because these are in evidence in Worcester. I'm a member of a local amateur group and I've also taken part as a volunteer digger in three excavations run by the county archaeology office over the last six years - two in the grounds of what was a medieval hospital, and the most recent in the old cattle market and council vehicle depot which turned out to have significant Roman remains under it.

Another interest of mine is making silver jewellery, and I've just been placing an order for some more sheet silver for a new project in between chatting to you.

With that done, I really aught to be logging off and getting to bed ready to start the week bright and raring to go!

Cheerio, lass. Have a good week and take care.
