My 94th Lit submission appeared today:

Ross the Boss Rides Again

those of you who remember me know I used to write often, and was running a nice upward trend of red H's...not every story, but more over time.

Then life got busy, and my stories got longer, so the gaps got wider. A few of those Hs evaporated.

I said to myself "Hugs, write to 100 stories, then retire."

Well, Ross is not riding well...mid 3s at the end of day one. Granted, the Lit Powers slotted it in LW, after I submitted as Group Sex, but I've written lots of LW - my first Lit series was expiating those ghosts. Even for Lw, for me, that is low. Plus, Ross is 4 Lit pages long, which you'd think would lose the trolls.

No feedback of comments yet, so I don't know whether I lost my touch.
In the past months, I've had about a half dozen false starts, story ideas that bogged down in plot, never got to the sex. Ross got to sex fast, hard, and long. Maybe because, like a lot of my best work, I had real life inspiration - fantasy fulfillment works for me.

So now I'm struggling. Life is still busy. I could stop writing for Lit until some fantasy bubbles up demanding to be typed. Or I push for 100.

I have no clue...

Congratulations. :D and... if you do decide to slip into 100 you'll do it on your time. Good luck either way.

Sweet Aunt Jemima! A double sighting. Two blasts from the past!

Hi Red.

Hi SH. :D

Good to see both of you on the boards again.

Then life got busy, and my stories got longer, so the gaps got wider.
I can definitely relate to this.

When I first started posting stories, I was less busy, coupled with wanting to get some of my major fantasies (and in some cases, enhanced experiences) to
"paper".

I improved as a writer. My stories got longer and more ambitious. At the same time, my free time shrunk.

I doubt I'll ever have 100 posted stories. Perhaps, if I finish everything I'm working on now? :)

Votes, comments, and red Hs are nice. But if that's why you're writing, you are destined for disappointment. Write for you. If you don't crave to write for writing's own sake, it might be time for a new hobby......Carney (who hopes you keep writing)

I never left... just sorta fell off AH much after reviews ended; I stopped being able to meet contest deadlines (I have half written halloween, christmas, V Day stories around) & wanted to stay out of the politics.

James, methinks I need to check out your stories

Carney, I'd love a new hobby, but no dating luck...still the same 5 fingers

Hey, you are on the favourites authors list for a reason. Forget the target, write what you enjoy, when you enjoy, and take the pressure off yourself :rose:

I do write for myself (when I am indeed writing), and post for the comments and the lulz.
