Hi,

Has any here written an adult film (porno) script? Or know of any online resources on the subject?

Thanks,
-K

Yes, I have. However, I know of no resources and good luck trying to sell such a script unless you are an adult film industry insider.

I agree with R.Richard:

I've written two scripts (one was porn) that actually have made it into production (mostly on the cutting room floor) and unless you're an insider in the adult film industry: rotsa ruck.....

A couple of years ago I paid for a couple of months at Ultimate Surrender dot com. In the jobs listing they were looking for scripts, but I have no idea if that listing is still up.

Those things have scripts?

Al I know about it that they have to be pretty basic and stripped down as porn movies are typically shot in one day, since the director has no idea if the same actors will show up again the next day.

Not quite correct. I'll have a book out soon that will tell it like it is.

I have one story that I think would make a good porno script. It has no plot to speak of and not much dialogue. Mostly it's seven people going at it after singing Christmas carols.

I do have a contact who has several directors looking for material. Since this is going to be my first attempt at an adult script I wanted to try to avoid as many rookie mistakes as I could.

I guess I'll just have to get a stack of porno movies and study hard...really, really hard...

Re: the unreliability of porn actors, most more lengthy scripts are divided into scenes (duh), connected by a loose narrative, and actors from one scene don't typically occur in another allowing the director to focus on each scene individually.

The orgy scene at the end of Debbie does Dallas (if I remember correctly) contains only a couple of recurring characters, the remainder are extras.

This works if you have a couple of reliable actors to portray main characters, i.e, you can use these characters to form a core narrative and pad out the other scenes with peripherally connected characters.

Do you have one of the scriptwriter software packages? Some in the industry are sticklers for format issues - like printing on one side of the page only, leaving the back side blank so they can scribble notes. You also need the correct format to distinguish between dialogue and description.

On studying porn - you might want to search out the porn awards (wherever they are) and rent the winners. At least that way you'd be setting the bar high, so to speak.
