i loved the Sign of Seven triligoy....the last one was my fave!
The Stand is my fave Stephen King book! I've read it several times...
Twilight series.....go Jacob!
ok...I'm reading Hunted by PC Cast & Kristin Cast. It's teen fiction (think twilight....in boarding school...more sexual than twilight....in oklahoma lol) its pretty cool....the main character can control the elements ...wind, fire, air and water.
Next on my list is Promises in Death by JD Robb
Isn't it funny how all the other threads have thousands of replies but this one has 14 with mine? I'm reading how not to write a novel and its fricken hilarious. It describes 100 most common mistakes unpublished novelists make and I'm cracking up all the way through the thing. Then I'll have to go fix my novel.

just finished The Hour I First Believed by Wally Lamb.....stellar! granted, it's like reading an entire volume of encyclopedias....it's that long....but so worth it.
i've just started Just After Sunset by Stephen King. it's been a while since i read anything by him, so i'm kind of curious to see how this plays out.
I am half way through the third. I didnt know there was a movie until after I read book 2. I doubt I will watch it any way. Movies are usually not as good as the books.
Breaking Dawn was my fave out of the series.....Bella isn't whining...as much as she seems to do in the others. lol The Twilight movie was pretty decent......definetly liked that book to movie transition when you compare it to the Interview w/a Vampire mess.
you're more current than i am on King's books. i had stopped reading him before Gerald's Game. i was partial to his classics. the last thing i remember reading by him was Needful Things, and i really couldn't get into it. he'd gotten to the point where he was cranking out book after book, and they just weren't as good to me anymore.I havent read anything of King's since Gerald's Game. I used to read him all the time but it got too weird.
What is The Hour I first believed about? I like long books.
i just saw your post. i loved The Stand. back when i was on a big Stephen King kick, i stumbled oupon it, and couldn't put it down. (M-O-O-N spells.....everything). i don't have the patience to go for a round two though. you're hard core.
usually, once i read a book i'm done with it. the one book i can recall coming back to several times was Disappearing Acts by Terry McMillan. and by now, i think i've had enough of that one too.
I had a hard time with everything but the 'classics' with King. I like Koontz better for horror.you're more current than i am on King's books. i had stopped reading him before Gerald's Game. i was partial to his classics. the last thing i remember reading by him was Needful Things, and i really couldn't get into it. he'd gotten to the point where he was cranking out book after book, and they just weren't as good to me anymore.
it's not exactly easy to narrow down what this book is about, because so many things are woven together to create the story. it is a journey. a fictional story, but the tragedy of Columbine is an integral part of the plot. the main character's wife is a survivor of the massacre. the rest of the story is all hinged on that one day....as in the butterfly effect. they end up relocating to his home town, where he begins exploring his family history. he learns how closely linked his present is to their past.
that's as much as i can tell you without spoiling anything. i'm not sure what genres you prefer, but if you like lengthy books, i think this one will grab you.
