Well, I figure, (aside from CreateSpace, which is literally just for fun, not profit, considering) the more venues we're selling from, the better. I've contacted Sony now, and figured out a way to get us on Stanza (iPhone), too. B&N was going to be next, but hey, with the new merger, I don't think I'll have to do a thing to get us there.

As for authors... well... we shall see. I'm planning to reevaluate next year.

I'm betting you'll be reassessing right after the baby appears. That's why I've pushed as much of my 2009 schedule under the transom as I could before April. (Bogged down now on writing that next Clint Folsom mystery for September, though.)

As for being my publishing "consultant"... no, you're not. But I have asked your advice on more than one occasion, simply because you ARE knowledgeable. I think most of us 'round here know the difference between folks who are who they say they are, and folks who aren't. *shrug* At least, those of us who aren't delusional.

I'm scheduled out now through Jul 13. And I've got authors complaining about having to wait for release dates. If we fill through Dec, I may backtrack and start releasing them 4-6 at a time instead of three at a time. But the way the site is set up, really it should either be 3 or 6 a week. We're kind of at an inbetween place.

But if you have stuff you want out this summer/fall, feel free to submit, I'm happy to put it in there!

I've got everything of mine to you already that is to be released through August. I have two October ones I might send you before the September one. (One of the October ones isn't on the schedule I sent you--a M/F horror one for Halloween). And I have a Christmas F nonerotic inspirational ready to send at about any time it was needed. I'm assuming you won't want that one until summer at the earliest, though. The November anthology is humongous and will be a chore to proofread after the edit--but it's already been edited.

Actually, as a book cover, it sucks--the image and titling compete with each other so much that the book buyer can't really focus on either.

And I'm not sure what you are talking about concerning "not getting it." It's been pretty clear here who doesn't get it. It's true I'm not aware that Amazon.com ever did anything with e-books before their one-format for an expensive, new reader was started--and apparently all you are relying on is your memory yourself--such as it is. All of which is--and continues to be for the present--pretty irrelevant to the erotica market.

I see that you finally "got it" about your illegal Avatar. There's always a glimmer of hope you'll understand something--eventually.

I am so glad you cleared that up about you being the queen’s publishing consultant. Because I kept wondering how much you were paying her to occupy that position. All the profits from your books is what I was thinking. So how would you describe yourself then? The queen’s court jester, eunuch, or just a plain old lackey? Actually, me thinks you did say you were her publishing consultant, but I’m not going to go try and find it. Sometimes things have a way of mysteriously disappearing around this place.

Since you know nothing about what Amazon did with e-books before Kindle (which I find incredible for one who professes to know so much about the publishing industry and allegedly has authored a book on same), perhaps you should ask your queen to elaborate on same for the benefit of us all. As I recall it was quite relevant to the e-book (including erotica) market then, less than three years ago, and still is.

Well, Bostonfictionwriter, thank you for noticing me from across the thread. It was really the Pilot who helped me achieve this avatar. I thought it was appropriate to pick out the queen costume in his honor. I may change it from time to time depending upon my mood. I believe this one's title is the Queen of Hearts, but she looks too nice to take off anyone's head. So, let's not push her.
