It seems my story has been moved to "Extreme" what does this mean?

I found out through an email, that my story has been deemed 'extreme'. They are going to post it on the extreme link. I went there and looked, and there is no way for people to vote on the story.

I am correct in my assumption, that you can not get votes as such when your story is to be published there?

If so why not?

What constitutes extreme? I have a rape crucifixtion story. I see rape stories all the time on the regular site. Why this distinction?
Is this a separate site (looks much different), if so are the rules the same?

I am just disturbed by this lack of explanation...

Thank you for feedback!

More Questions---

My sympathy, I am waiting for a poem that I sent a month ago (from Bigguy@literotica.com), to be posted.

I realize that the editors, L and M, etc., are going as fast as they can, but what is the procedure 'round here?

Even when I read the directions (I think!), my writing doesn't get posted. Are there any plans for creating a "Sandbox" that authors can post to. This would be a program that "reads" the story and responds to the author with it's recommendation:

"You are one sick fuck Mr. Merrill, we are putting your story in solitary until the men with the white coats come. Have a nice day." or something like that.

The author can then accept the machine's recommendation, edit the story (with or without help) or escalate...

A word to newbies. Don't be afraid of the God 's and Goddesses of the poison pen. They love this baby of theirs and want to see everyone do their best. I have found that sincere questions are answered with kindness and a real desire to teach.

Laurel, Manu (am I spelling your name right? I'm not taking the time to look it up), Lady Pandora and all the rest, a toast to freedom.

FORWARD in All Directions!

Re: More Questions---

Redmoon - I'll send you an email re: your specific case. Generally, any story in which the rape is either very brutal AND the recipient of the rape does not enjoy the situation to some degree will be moved to AllExtremeSex. Also, any story in which there is death resulting from or proceeding a rape will be moved there. This is not a slight on the story - it is a way to keep authors from receiving unwarranted hate mail.

There seem to be two groups of people who read the nonconsent category: people who fantasize about the loss of control, and others who just want an "edgier" read. The former can sometimes get offended by what the latter would enjoy. Therefore, we try to keep the "edgier" work in one place, and those who enjoy such stories know where to find it.

There's been a lag with the AllExtremeSex updates, but that should be taken care of this week. ;)

Did you send it via email? If you send it via the online scripts, it will be posted in 24-72 hours.

Thank you Laurel

I appreciate the personal statement you took the time to make!
Thanks!

Lemme get this straight...

You wrote a rape crucifiction story, and you're SURPRIZED it was deemed "Extreme?"

What the hell did you post it as? "Erotic Couplings?" "Romance?" "Loving Wives?" Jees, it's not like that's the kind of thing people do when there's nothing good on TV, turn to each other, and say "feelin' frisky, tonight, hon?"

My next question is... what DO you consider "Extreme," if not rape crucifiction?

Oh, and please remind me to never let you date my sister.

Life is extreme!

Cockatoo-

Forgive me if I spell your name wrong, I do that too often these days. If I get it right, the medecine is working...

I agree that to place a rape/crucifiction story in the extreme category is perfectly reasonable. But I am gggrreeaatly offended by your incredibly naive statement and understanding of the story.

Have you been reading your deSade, Vassi, Bright, etc.?

Homer and everybody else has been writing sicker shit for millenia...

And I have a sneaking (not having read any of Redmoons writing) suspicion that the alternative to writing this story would have been to take a sawed-off shotgun to some dolt's house and doing damage to the pet dog.

Literature and smut are so whacked sometimes because life is, well, you get the picture, I hope...

Redmoon, do you want anyone to do a comic version? Maybe after I get mine out ;o)

Laurel,

You da Bomb!!!!::::....,,,__.

Not only was this thread from eight years ago, the "extreme" section was discontinued and hasn't existed for about five of those eight years.

AllExtremeSex stills exists as a site though seems not to have been updated for a while.

I wanna know how wmrs2 discovered this thread. Did they have an archeological team work on the dig?

Now we can all feel like politicians.

Someone can trawl back through our posts and say:

"In 2003 you said... Why did you contradict yourself in 2005 when you said... and now you've just said... Do you know your own mind?"

Og
