I want to hear more about the "45 million uninsured Americans" lie

And who pays for that?

I do! Geeze have you EVER taken a course in econ or business management? You think hospitals are going to just give away their product? No, they make up for it by charging more, just like 7-11 does to recoup costs of shoplifiting.

I don't believe there are that many people without health care, despite the fact that I'm not covered. Most businesses now days offer some sort of health care, now whether or not people choose to use it once they have it is up to them. But the fact is that they are covered. Now if they choose not to use it because its not the best out there that's their problem.

The next time you go to Walmart or McDonalds, ask the employees there if they have health insurance.

Contradict yourself much?

Typical response from the commander of the flying pig squadron.

When Medicare says to the medical industry that it will pay X for a broken arm, what do you think happens? Doctors who would charge less will adjust their prices upwards and those who would charge more to cover their particular over head will either pad the bill with unnecessary charges to do so, or simply not participate. When an unconcerned middle man is rubber stamping the bill the the important check of the free market relationship between the health care producer and the consumer of that health care is diminished. The opportunity for fraud and abuse is multiplied thus driving prices up, as the history has shown.

The same thing happens when private insurers are paying the bill.

My father-in-law won his election, thanks for asking Hitler. He'll expedite getting your underachieving kids into the special education program for you, if you like. Oh wait, are you in Cherokee or Cobb county?

We weren't talking about who paid for it, we were talking about IF they had it.. guess what. THEY HAVE IT.

Before you speak check your facts.

They have health care.

I looked at the link. They did so much fast two-stepping I immediately smelled a turd.

I suspect this turd is one of the following flavors:

1. The insurance they offer is so expensive that the employees (usually young and healthy) don't make enough money to buy it.

2. The insurance is only offered to employees who work a minimum X hours per week for X consecutive weeks and McDonald's is very careful (as is Krogers) to not allow new employees to meet that level.

3. A combination of 1 & 2.

#1 is not their fault, insurance is just expensive. #2 I've always found to be dishonest.

*laughing my ass off*

Did you even READ the link you provided, shitbag?

That was pretty damned funny.

Then there's the fact that they keep as many people on part-time status as possible, 31 hours a week or less.. Why? So they don't have to give them the benefits they give full time employees, like health insurance.

Disney does the same thing here in Orlando. Lots and lots of part time and "seasonal" cast members.
