*sigh* ACORN & "voter fraud": Not guilty, not indicted, NOT BEING INVESTIGATED

You mean voter fraud prevailed. Every time they "recounted" they threw out more and more votes...coincidentally all from Blue districts...what a coincidence.

That is not voter fraud, that is election fraud. Not a matter of any person voting illegally.

No worse than all the Bush haters and what they've been spouting for 3 years.

 Actually it's orders of magnitude worse, Moxon. Bush-haters didn't have to make stuff up, the truth was enough. (Some few did anyway, of course, 9/11 "truthers" and the like . . .) But even now there are still fucktards insisting Obama is a Muslim, a Marxist, born in Kenya, "puppet" of the "far left" . . . It's only going to get worse; it will be like the preposterous lies the RW slung at Clinton for eight years were nothing.

At least we have the facts by looking through history that what Obama is doing won't work.

How so? History tells us what FDR did worked. (Yes, really; only minorities of economists and historians hold a contrary view.)

It didn't work, WWII did, there's a reason why we keep looking back at history and evaluating things, the people who have looked at it recently can tell that the New Deal wasn't the culprit for getting us out of the Depression.

Correction: Bush had election AND voter fraud. Also, remember when the GOP stormed one of the election vote counting centers?

You mean Democrats forcing banks to give loans to people who can't pay them? and now we are guaranteeing those loans, even though those people still can't pay them?

Unless we start realizing that if you can't pay your mortgage then you don't deserve to live there we're screwed.

Repeating lies over and over does not make them true.

Proven by who exactly? The same media that fucked up in calling the state early and then tried to save face so they turned to voter fraud? The people who believed exit polls over actual vote counts?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subprime_mortgage_crisis

Now THAT is a good conspiracy theory..."the media" made up everything about election fraud!

LOL

From your wiki article:

"The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has conceded that self-regulation of investment banks contributed to the crisis.[97][98]"

In other words - deregulation. EXACTLY what happened with Worldcom, Enron, and the old Savings and Loans.

I love that you go back and edit your post to have proof, and your proof is from a site that starts with "Lies of Bush" as if that is credible in any way.

You judge a book by it's cover instead of the information contained therein? Says a lot about you.

That I can recognize when something is obviously biased? Great call.

De-regulation was passed in 1999, nothing bad happened until Democrats started forcing banks to make loans.

I remember that! Banks were FURIOUS that their loan regulations were relaxed! Remember? All the CEO's of the big banks came out screaming about how they were being FORCED to give out loans!

Oh wait....this is all a Republican fantasy.

Because the CEOs knew that the government would screw over the taxpayers and bail them out like the government always does.

No indictments or prosecution of the Democrats who failed to pay taxes either. That means it didn't happen?

[shrug] So show us an instance. Not of ACORN submitting some bogus registrations, which is freely admitted by ACORN, but of fraudulent votes cast resulting. Or of any ongoing prosecutorial investigation relating to that.

He's a bit too busy making multiple simplistic Obama/Democrat-bashing threads at least four times a day to actually do that, Orfeo. The man is an entrepreneur, after all. Entrepreneurs can't be bothered to take up their valuable time-is-money space of the day with trifling issues like that. You should be a little compassionate about the lives of others who are not like yours, next time you answer someone.

How Many Did ACORN Trick Into Loans?

February 20th, 2009
From an article we posted back in September, from ACORN’s website:

Our Homebuyer’s Program

Intimidating to nearly everyone, the homebuying process seems impossible to millions of low and moderate income Americans. ACORN Housing’s mortgage counseling program eases the difficulty of buying a home for those with low incomes - we’ve helped over 50,000 families to achieve their dreams of homeownership since 1986. We have also assisted hundreds of existing homeowners to avoid foreclosure and preserve their homes-including victims of predatory lending and others who’ve faced serious and unexpected financial hardships.

ACORN Housing Counselors make the homebuying process more accessible to first-time buyers. Instead of having to approach bankers or contend with brokers, first-time homebuyers can meet our counselors in the local ACORN Housing office to pre-qualify for a mortgage. If you have credit problems, you’ll learn ways to resolve them. If you don’t qualify for the program right away, you can attend our free Budget and Credit Seminar for additional help with financial management.

Counseling

As a community-based, non-profit housing counseling agency we’re here to help you choose the loan option that’s best for you. ACORN Housing’s loan counseling program is HUD certified and our services are free of charge.

We provide pre-purchase counseling for low to moderate income homebuyers. See HUD Income limits for your area to see if you are eligible.

We look at your savings and credit history to see if you qualify for a mortgage. We can help you with credit problems and to create a downpayment savings plan. When you qualify, we can help arrange a mortgage with lower interest rates, lower down payments and lower settlement costs than what banks usually offer.

Mortgage Programs

Through ACORN Housing, homebuyers can gain access to mortgage programs with lower interest rates, lower down payments, flexible underwriting guidelines and lower origination fees. With AHC, you can refinance for better terms through the innovative agreements we’ve formed with lenders.

With AHC you get:

* Lower down payments and closing costs.

* No Private Mortage Insurance.

* Banks generally require 3 months of mortgage payments in the bank at settlement.

* With our program, they don’t, which allows you to buy a home sooner.

* Most banks won’t count public assistance or voluntarily child support in determining if you’ll qualify for a mortgage.

*With our program, all steady income counts.

Is ACORN going to be punished for hoodwinking so many thousands into mortgages they could not afford?
