You know, I agree.

Especially Gonzales. Everyone else are just selfish, emotionally detached idiots. Gonzales must be sociopathic.

Had to look to see why no one is touching this.

This was traqic, and I suspect this doctor is now a former doctor. I must say, the woman should have gotten her abortion sooner. 23 months is right art the end of the second trimester. Maybe she learned the baby would have been born with some kind of fatal birth defect.

The fetus was described as being healthy, but there might have been some kind of problem, such as Tay-Sachs Syndrome, or other disorder that would have resulted in early death.

I wonder if the woman actually has a case. She was there to get an abortion, which she has a right to do, and that's what happened, although it didn't go as planned..

There's no excuse for aborting a 23 MONTH old human!!......Carney

*snerk*

I read right over that . . . .

Of course you're right, Carney. We should at least wait until they're old enough to hold up a liquor store before we "abort" them.

Technically speaking, once the baby is outside mom and takes a breath, he's not in Kansas anymore. I have a grand-daughter born at 24 weeks; she's now 5.

If the Florida prosecutor lets this case go, it creates a precedent to kill babies once theyre born. It moves the goal posts.

AMICUS

The Usual Suspects ignore my threads for the usual reasons; they look like idiots after the chickens come home to roost. They want no record anyone can point to later.

I had to laugh at the highlighted text. Were you baiting?

I read this yesterday but got sidetracked with work. At any rate, what's to comment? Both sides are horrified - and it is awful no matter if you're for abortion or against. The clinic will be closed, people will be punished and the goal posts will stand firm.

This could actually be the prologue to one of your horror stories.

JOMAR

As we speak I'm cobbling a story together about attention deficit disorder. Its about a diabolical doctor who has an effective treatment for disruptive students. Teachers love it.

Its pretty horrible, but an attempt at science-fiction a la Michael Crichton. I call it E.T. PHONE HOME.

Abortions will have to wait.

Good luck with it. I enjoy Crichton - reading Next right now, in fact. I admire the way he does a lot of research then spins a great beach book.

I think a fair number of the peeps here have JBJ on ignore, so they don't even see this thread.

Looks like a clear case of malpractice to me. We could post malpractice stories all day long. Whether it's malpractice or murder would be up to the courts to decide.

I'm sure someone around here could post the number of people dying because of medical mistakes in hospitals. The yearly total is at least five figures. That's a lot of malpractice cases that never even see a courtroom.

A baby born that early can only be saved with serious medical intervention.

And in a majority of cases ends up with some sort of disability from all the "treatments" they employ to save the child's life.

It shouldn't be up to the doctors - or the courts - whether or not doctors move to "save" a baby this age. It should be up to the parents.

SELENA

If you go to the hospital with a preemie, they dont say 'fuck it' and toss the kid in the trash. We can cite two-headed snake tales all day long, but the kid was born alive.

If it was me, I wouldn't take a preemie to a hospital. Not a preemie that early. Not until it was too late for them to do anything about it.

We have DNRs for a reason. They should extend to mothers giving birth to minors.
