Can we stop with the ewwww now? I'm thinking of naked penii.

eta: with men attached to them. Each to one piece. Seriously, you people!

Oh Right! You're the one who started it, there Ms. limp penis

It sure as hell wasn't me! I don't have a use for those things myself...

I think I saw the RN from my doctor's office that examined me my last visit. Didn't say hello to her though. Why am I so shy around attractive women lately? Maybe it was the two big guys she was leaving at the same time as (but not quite with).

I hate it when my food tastes of dish soap.

Don't move to england then cos most of them don't rinse the dishes here. Often at the inlaws you sometimes get a rather not so sublte soap taste from the dishes. I used to sneak around when i did dishes when we lived there and rinse them.

'most of them' or just your inlaws madam? have you seen those fairy adverts where they put the plates on the dishrack with suds dripping down them? thats gross. In this house everything gets rinsed, scrubbed, rinsed and washed with dishsoap and then RINSED OF DISHSOAP. It's GROSS to have soap on your plate...ewww WHO THE FUCK does that?! really?!

*ranting over*

We have this marvelous appliance called a DISHWASHER, which doesn't leave the rinsing of soap residue to the vagaries of human error or attention span. However, I'm apparently the only member of the household who knows how to load, operate, and unload it. While I greatly appreciate other parties taking the initiative to do the dishes every once in a while, more often than not, I simply take the "clean" dishes from the drainer (where they'll languish until they cause an avalanche if I don't move them) and load them into the dishwasher. If I don't, I too often encounter soapy food. Blech!

If you want something done right, eh?

When it comes to the kitchen? Absolutely.

I have learned long ago that even if I do something right with the kitchen, my mother is just going to redo it anyway (because she is as obsessive compulsive as I am, gee, I wonder where I got that from), so why bother doing it in the first place?

Not just my inlaws no... every house in england i have been to seems to have done it. And I have been in a quite a few other places for meals besides just my inlaws. I really wouldn't have said most of them if I had seen anyone who hadn't done the same thing.

Ah well was my day to offend:)

Me I can't get past the you wash a few dishes, water starts to get dirty and then you wash more and if you don't rinse them you have dirty soap on the dishes as well.

Blurt: Someone needs to explain to my mom that you don't need to yell at the top of your lungs when speaking on the phone. -_-

That's the same excuse all you men use. It doesn't fly with me.
