A Not so puuurrrfect night

Eartha Kitt died today at the age of 81.

This depresses me me deeply. Ironically today of all days... when her Christmas hit "Santa Baby" finally went gold. Batman was made all the better by her Catwoman puurs and the USO was never better than when she sang for the boys.

She will be missed greatly by a world she loved as much as it loved her.

I saw this earlier, and am pretty sad about it, too. First James Brown on Christmas, and now Ertha Kitt. Sad, sad stuff.

Life seems cruel at times. Death is a very pressing thought in our house these days...thankfully it is only thoughts and expectations at this point. This lady will be very missed by many I expect, but remembered by millions for a long time to come.
