Happy Hannukah!

Yay us! A whole festival dedicated to alternative energy sources!

Iran gets closer by the day to learn about pussiness of the Jews.

Not a pussy and batshit insane are different things. The Maccabees didn't have the ability to nuke Athens and start a very early Armageddon.

We totally forgot it was Hannuka until last night.

/facepalm

But we lit those candles! We lit them good!

Happy chanukah!
I didn't really think many Jews would be on this sorta thing....shows how ignorant I am, eh well, so happy I'm not a lone!

Chag Sameach!

xxx

חג שמח

You expect a terrible Jew like me to know what that means??
That's just the Hebrew for "Chag Sameach!" ("Happy Holiday!" or "Wishing you a Happy Holiday!")

And btw, not knowing Hebrew doesn't make you a "terrible Jew." It just means you haven't had the opportunity to learn Hebrew. (I haven't, either {though I'm not Jewish, lol!}, but Google is a wondrous thing! ;) )

Haha, trust me, not knowing Hebrew is the least of my worries.

i was about to go all uber jew and start spouting translations, but you saved me the energy :)

I came this close to ordering a ham and cheese on matzoh, so proud of myself for remembering the first day of pesach. *headdesk*

I'm reminded of the look I got from the guy at the counter when I absent-mindedly ordered a pastrami and swiss cheese on rye at the deli in Lincolnwood many years ago. I guess they were a lot more Kosher than I knew. ;)

What she said - and that goes for anyone who doesn't celebrate just as well.

Ha, well, as a gesture to those who take the time to say "Merry Christmas to those who celebrate" or similar (sorry, but I hate happy holidays, aren't I a pain in the ass?), I also add "to those who celebrate." And for the record, if someone says Merry Christmas to me without a qualifier, I'm not at all offended.

I've been to a Jewish deli owned by a Chinese couple. They would not bat an eye!

whew!

*goes to eat bacon secretly in a closet*

Ha, I just hope that it's free range pork, missy  (last time I mentioned bacon JM posted evil spider pictures!)

Can I admit here that I'm a secret soldier in the War on Christmas that has Bill O'Reilly seeing his cardiologist daily? ;)

As long as the war isn't being fought to make me feel included. I happily eat my dim sum and let y'all live it up.

Trust me, there have been many, many Xmases when I wished I was chowing down on Yiang Tsu Pork in a quiet diner all by myself.
