What gives a seduction story that toe-curling effect?

For me the essential part has to be that the seduced person has to come to their seduction as a reluctant, last moment convert (if convert at all in e.g. quasi-non-consensual situations).

It's always a turn off to me to read about 'eagerness' in such situations... and a sign of probable blankness in the head of the author.

Show me 'eagerness' in a story and, almost certainly, I'll show you lack of plot and imagination.

There are people who simply want to write about the mechanics of fucking. Ok, that has its place in the scheme of things but I doubt that you can call such offerings 'stories'.

I have to be suspect that you are a spy who has set a trap for some of us to step right in and suffer an illusory moment where we feel slightly good about ourselves. IMHO it can swing both ways, even if one of the two doesn't quite fit with "seduction."

Two folk, both 'hot to trot', can be sexy. My, "She Can't Wait..." is an example. Even though my own opinion, as author is irrelevant, both comments posted describe it as hot, even though the vote average is only 4.18. I'll readily grant a degree of, "the mechanics of fucking," but there is plot leading up to that (and they don't actually fuck).

Notwithstanding the fact that all of mine that involve fucking are mutually desired, I'll definitely endorse the attraction of reading about someone who doesn't want 'it' at the beginning, finding that they do want it by the end.

Having said that, I find non-consent stories, where the victim is portrayed as liking the outcome somewhat unwelcome wish-fulfilment. I really don't believe that anyone would find rape a good thing.

Seduction is, to me, very, very different.

Okay one more but no more. This thread topic has attempted to seduce me into its world, a world I believe to be full of dangers, obvious and hidden, but I begin to weaken, since I can't deny the attraction.

It so happens that my resolution for the next year is to quit trying to explain myself; but with a few days left in this year I'll do this one act of amnesty:
