Summer Heights High

I love that. I am just blown away by his mimicry - you don't even question that he *is* a 16 year old girl!

Jonah is my fave character :)

He's a hoot and definitely got the body moves down. I like how he's a teacher's nightmare and crosses all these boundaries, but is basically compliant. And he's chip off the old block.

Chris Lilley is a marvel.

He's got a handle on it. The opening scene is wonderful - the kid throws his book bag on top of a locker and off he goes. It makes the parent in me cringe and want to say, "Put it in the locker. It'll get stolen!"

I'd like check out his other stuff.

The thing is, though, and something you notice once you get further into the series, is that Jonah is basically misunderstood. He plays up because he's over-disciplined. When the special ed teacher deals with him she treats him like he should take some responsibility for his actions and, what do ya know, he actually does. That's the problem when you try and enforce every teeny little rule - it ends up with none of them being complied with. Hubby and I just fumed at that vindictive English teacher all the way through.

I don't think we've gotten there yet. Yeah, the English teacher is exasperated and angry.

It really is pretty nuanced while being over the top.

I can't wait for to see the Mr. G's musical of the naughty girl. I'm imagining how it will go over. :D
