Apology to poets and particularly reviewers

Over the next few days I shall be cluttering up the new poems area with a Limerick series.

Yes, I know, that's why I'm apologising.

I set myself a challenge to write the story of a date in limerick form. It's harder than I thought it would be and therefore is rather ugly in patches.

The first posted overnight, the second should go up today sometime and the rest will follow as I complete them.

Please, feel free to ignore them totally :)

You are more than welcome to write limericks here. We've written loads of 'em over the years. Maybe some of the other poets will join you.

Oh but We have to look. I tend to look twice or thrice, first a once over; closer inspections after the first. Then there's the Feel Test. But it's something every poem goes through. Your limerick will be treated with dignity and respect, at the least. Honest.

Oh dear, this seems to be turning into an epic.
I've just submitted parts 9 and 10 and have 11 and 12 needing polishing, and there needs to be at least another one after that to reach a resolution.
