Foreign Country Praise Thread....

....think of this as un-bashing. While I presume that we all love our own countries, there is good and bad nationalism. The bad kind can often show itself in bashing foreign countries, which is different from constructive and deserved criticism of certain regimes. I'm talking about how we speak of other cultures, not governments.

So, in the interest of mutual respect, especially on an international forum like this, I have created this thread for praising various countries for their positives.

I'll start with a country that has often had testy relations with America. France. The game is to pick one thing that you like about the country in question.

The next person says what he or she likes about France. And then picks another country to praise for something good.

Great wine and food.

Great financial services legislation, short commutes, a never-ending supply of nubile 25 year olds on their first international assignment and some seriously good restaurants.

Slovenia.
