Sorry if this has already been posted (didn't see a thread for it), but for any who are not aware, this upcoming Saturday there are national events planned to march peacefully in support of overturning prop 8. The site below has links by state so you can find an event near you if you so desire to join:

I wouldn't mind hitting the downtown LA one, but will probably just hit the closer one in Pasadena.

Not one very close to me, but that's not surprising. :(

closest is Birmingham.

Amy and the girls are planning on attending the one in San Diego.

The girls want to paint signs that say "I want my Mommies"

Good for them! And come the day that they start bringing home boyfriends, we'll hope that none of them see anything unusual about it.

Your girls can be counted on to bring home nothing but gentlemen . . . until they get in the car, at least!

Amy and I have agreed that the girls may date someone only after we have met the boys, their parents and the girls have gotten their brown belts. The subject of neutering them is still open.

You see, our poor girls have TWO people who have been in their exact position so they aren't going to get away with shit! What I didn't try to get away with, Amy did. :D

Sorry for the thread jack.

Funny, that's a line I use on the sixth grade. "There isn't anything you can think of I haven't already tried. I didn't get away with it and neither will you!"

:D

Until them meet Amy cleaning her Mini Glock in the living room...

My father would do that kind of thing with my sister's boyfriends. Cleaning a shotgun, sharpening his knives and whatnot. Until she met a Marine that liked the same stuff as my father. He took him skeet shooting...

These events feel good to the participants but dont change many hearts and minds.
