OK, now that I’ve got the contest system back on the right track, it’s time to move on to the really, really big questions. Okay, okay, we didn’t solve all the contest problems – but we made a start. A good start! Laurel took the time to ask us what we thought and then quickly acted when she found to what an overwhelming extent we supported one possible option.

Let’s hope that on other questions she’ll be as open minded and fair. Personally I’d love to see more threads like her poll one – it quickly gives her feedback on the feelings of the author community.

Why not poll us on some of the following (or any of many others questions):
-One author-One story per special contest
-Having all the entries come out at the same time vs. the present system
-Release all contest scores vs. secrecy
-Whether we want new themes…and suggestions for new themes
-Putting each stories score next to it on the authors home page (and number of votes?)
Etc., etc., etc.

It wouldn’t take her much time and having the cachet of her name as THREADMISTRESS insures a serious and wide response.

I don’t know about you guys but I’ve been getting a lot of e-mails lately asking me why my stories aren’t as colorful as my posts. In fact it’s sorta become a groundswell. “WE WANT COLOR” my fans have been screaming.

And it’s not just my stories that lack color – apparently no one has any colored words in their stories.

How hard could it be? It’s no problem here in the forum world.

Psst...Scouries. Hey, Jim. MungoPark just admitted to me that he had no recollection of writing his poem, the one that received the prestigous green E, The Breakfast of Champions.

Unbelievable. Well, now, at least my name is cleared and at least now no one will think that I'm crazy, kind of, not really, not at all. Anyway, Laurel is making all the changes in the record book now and they are adding a scupture of Polo's head to the 6' Survivor trophy.

He returned the silver Survivor Mini Cooper S to me, but the thing around has 50,000 miles on it and I think it needs a new clutch, brakes, and tires.

So, as it turns out, I did win the 2007 Survivor Contest. I am the defending champion. I am...hello? Scouries? Where'd you go? Suddenly, there's an echo in here.

* The Literotica 1000+ Vote Club, a joint effort of ScouriesWorld and Literotica continues to be an immense success with both our readers as well as with the brilliant authors who have become members. Membership is now up to 68 authors and 137 stories. A new updated list was released recently.

* The boss is presently hard at work on four new stories, at least one of which (and hopefully two) will debut in November.

* Also, given the fact that LAUREL is starting to address some of the problems plaguing the Special Contests, the boss has graciously accepted the QUEEN’S invitation to enter a story in the HOLIDAY contest.

I didn't receive a special invitation from the Queen to write a story for the winter contest. Besides, except for Survivor, I'm done with contests. There’s been a surprising number of changes. Six authors were knocked out of the Top 25 and replaced. And not so much because they lost favor (see below and note how these authors actually gained votes). Instead it was due to rapid rises by other authors.

The new members include Many Feathers and Epiphany65, two talented, wily old veteran authors. Definitely deserving of elevation!

Elianna and Isobal are newbies, lovely young women who write Sci-Fi and Non-Human stories and who have flown up the charts. Miss Elianna in fact in just a short time has become quite famous in certain quarters for the names she gives her characters.


alwayswantedto’s stories also are mainly recent (2008) additions and he’s an Incest category writer. walterio has been around for years and has hundreds of stories up – I’m amazed I’d never run into him before.

But while we welcome our new members it’s sad to see some of my favorites dropped. Just Plain Bob, Freddie , and Dr Caboose are three of the most famous and loved authors on the site! All three of them added over one hundred and thirty votes and yet still were demoted. Here's where the demoted authors fell to:

How's Scouries World in Miami?

My "unofficial" winter contest entry posted today, "It's A Wonderful Life."

It's based on the movie with Donna Reed and Jimmy Stewart, only, people don't know that "It's A Wonderful Life" was a remake of a porn movie called "She's A Sexual Wife".

Back then, during the war, WWII, they weren't making any movies, especially after the United States imposed a Victory Tax that took 90% of excess profits. There was no way the studios were giving up that much dough to the war effort.

Meanwhile, how do unemployed movie stars earn money? Well, they made illegal porn films. Donna Reed and Jimmy Stewart starred in She's A Sexual Wife. Maureen O'Hara made orgasm on 44th Street, which was remade to Miracle on 34th Street. Even Judy Garland got in the act with her movie, Wizard of Oz, which was really made in Australia and not in Kansas. The little people were Asians, as this film was made before the war and before the bombing of Pearl Harbor, which is where they deemed the term, "Follow the yellow brick road." Only, because, in the original porn movie of the Wizard of Oz, the term was "Follow the yellow prick road."

All these are true stories. My Dad told them to me. He was the night watchman at Liberty movie studios during the war when they were making porn films. Even Bing Crosby got in the act when he made his film, White Christmas. Well, the original porn film had little to do with Chrismas and everything to do with white semen.

Unfortunately, I'm not in good favor with the Queen. No longer does she post my stories near the top. She buries them down towards the bottom. Also, many of my stories were deserving of a green E but, alas, I don't believe she will ever give me another one.

It's a long story.

Regardless of receiving an official invitation or not, my story is broken in chapters. That's how I write, now. Everything I write is long and requiring chapter breakup.

Besides, alas, the Halloween was the last contest, other than Survivor, that I will ever enter here. I'm done with contests and all the games that people play. They aren't worth my time and effort. That's not to say that I won't write a theme story. I just won't enter it in the contest. That should save me a few 1 votes (lol).

It's a sad day. Surely, you must have heard about it. I heard that they have to remove one of the writers here. I won't mention names, but I saw them take her out in a straight jacket.

I felt bad. I hope they can help her. She looked really crazy, scary crazy, you know. It took all the control that I had not to approach her. I wanted to flatten down her hair and wipe the drool from her mouth, but anytime anyone walked near her, she'd spit at them.

Nano nomi or some shit like that she kept mumbling about a novel that she couldn't write because it was too long and had wayyyy too many words. It seemed to calm her when the attendants told her that she could write a 750 word novel instead of a 75,000 word novel.

I really hope she's still able to compete in the Survivor Contest. I think they only hold them for 30 days observation. She should be released the first week of December. Some people get too wound up over a stupid contest. I don't get it. I mean, if she needs the money that much, I'd give it to her after I won it.

In addition to being 18-years-old, they really need to check the sanity of writers here. Well, maybe not. If writers were required to pass a sanity test to write here, there would be so few writers that it may not be worth keeping the site open. I can only think of half a dozen normal people. I mean, the crazy ones think that everyone else is crazy. I'm glad that I passed my lunacy test long ago. Definitely, I'm certified to write here.

Yes I think you have to be crazy to do the NaNoWrMo contest. You should try it Freddie. With the amount of writing you do you would surely write 50000 words in a short period of time. Just go to the website and sign up. You just have to put in your word count and when you hit 50000 words you win. Because it's based on honestly on the part of the author no one can cheat really. You made some valid points about the contests on here so I was surprised to learn that you have never participated in NaNoWrMo.

They have computers here so I can still write and access this site. My room is nice, white and clean. I like it.
