You seem to feel you're the sole authority on some of the topics you've posted on, and that your experience is always the one thing that tops all other. That's more than mildly off-putting, because we all have our own experiences, and they should be worth just as much as yours, yet the way you conduct yourself shows that you don't share that view.

And yes, your posts in Svenskaflicka's thread suggested quite the attitude, actually. You were insulting and unconstructive when she'd done nothing to provoke that.

I didn't see myself as high-handed, so maybe it's just perspective. And I was trying to give her helpful suggestions. If I had known of her Communist affiliation, I wouldn't have bothered, mind you. Talk about high-handed! Communists always are.

I don't dismiss others' experiences. I just try to put things into perspective. That's all. To show the absurdity of comparing corruption with tyranny.
