I’ve gotten my fair share of PMs and IMs that have run the gamut of rude to infantile.
Honestly, the whole “internet language” and the inability to form a sentence with real words are my biggest pet pevs. It’s hard to take someone even remotely serious, when you get messages like: “How are u?” or even something with real words but still on the level of childish: “How big are your boobs?”
Boobs!?
Come on!! This is an adult site.
Admittedly this venue is difficult on many levels, so being aware and careful are always on top of my list when responding to any messages.
Well, I think I’ve vented enough, for now, anyway.![]()
I am a quick typer but when message somebody I use full sentences.
ooooooo kyrie! i just noticed your near dark quote. i love that film so much, i bought the dvd recently but havent got around to watching it yet.
~smiles warmly~... Yes...a good older movie. I watched it the other night because I've recently started to watch Heroes, and just had to see one of the main characters in his 'youth'.
Nothing quite like a good vampire movie.
its rare that we do get a vampire movie very well made! have you ever seen shadows of the vampire?
I can see that.I've been following this thread for a while now and am relieved that there are people out there that still use full sentences. It's almost like a lost art. Here, description is as important as...say...breathing. Without it we are nothing but fonts on a screen.
I don't know about most people, but using full sentences, full words and filling the imagination of the reader is, in my humble opinion, a delicious relaxation.
No, I haven't.Obviously I need to update my collection to include that one. You're right though, good vampire movies are few and far between.
I agree completely. Now I admit when I am on yahoo I may not use full ones. Wow seems like I may have peeked someone's interest and it is a female to boot. LOL.
its not your usual vampire film, and not a sexy one but definitely worth seeing!

im too scared to watch this new lost boys though

Question...why do you not use full sentences on Yahoo?
Yahoo doesn't seem to be like MSN, where it limits the text, at least I haven't run into that problem so far.
As for peaking my interest...well...I'm always interested in a good chat.![]()
I completely understand your 'fear'. Hollywood has a difficult time producing a number 2 or 3 that can hold up to the first one.
A good vampire movie doesn't have to be sexy, though I must admit, it helps a bit. John Carpenter's Vampires wasn't sexy, but still worth watching especially if you're into the whole vampire genre.
There's only been one vampire movie that I classify as 'horrible' and, quite frankly, unwatchable.
I guess I do. I type quick on Yahoo. I guess I do use complete sentences. Glad I got your attention.
which film was that?
Kiss of the Vampie with Nicholas(sp?) Cage. At least I think that's the title. I'm not 100% sure on that. I didn't enjoy it at all and found that Cage, especially lately, is a much better actor than what was presented in that movie.
As long as you don't start throwing in 'u' for 'you' and such. Nothing takes away from a conversation, sexy or otherwise, like that. Of course, this again, is just my humble opinion.
I'm glad you got my attention too.Curious here...did I truly get yours?

How about Vampire in Brooklyn. Never seen it though.
is this the film? vampire's kiss id never heard of it till i just looked it up!
even that eddie murphy one isnt as bad as people make out!
and kyrie, you will have to forgive me as i am awful at using "u" instead of "you" without realising it.
YES!! That's the name of it and honestly...it sucks, and not in the good and pleasurable way. I felt bad for Cage and am glad that he's gotten more successful roles since then.
I understand the use of 'u' and it's really no big deal. You are forgiven.![]()
Hey what are u talking about. LOL. No I don't do that at all. I dont like it either. I spell everything out not always correctly though. And I like to use LOL as you can see. Yes you do have my attention.
i'm tempted to add it to my online film rental list to see just how bad it is!
so what are your favourite vampire films?
