I have pmed people on here and other places with a nice little paragraph and never get anything back. I don't think I come off as creepy and of course I try not too that is the last thing I want. I really have no idea what to say.

I'm not excusing bad manners, but there could be many reasons why there's no response. I think that the top two might be a flooded inbox (so they don't bother reading messages), and a history of getting rude messages (so they no longer read messages). Hard to tell, but you probably shouldn't take it personally. I would bet that it has to do with a bunch of assholes who happened to PM before you.

It's not that I don't mind talking sex with guys, it's more that I want equal opportunity. Most of them want to jerk off and then leave.

The thing that bothers me about women sending PM's is that there are very few out there that actually take the chance. Its almost as though they think that all the guys are only in it for the instant orgasm.

Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of very interesting women that I have had the priviledge of talking to, but it would be nice to have someone that is interested in more than just a hello.

It might have something to do with respecting other people's privacy, but I rarely send messages. Maybe I need to troll more.

I find that the best way to start off getting to know someone is by "talking" on the threads. I think that if a PM follows, there's a better chance of a response.

That's probably very true.

Not wanting to sound desperate, but my main goal is to find someone that I can actually talk with. If there is some cyber-naughtiness, fine. We can both have some fun from time to time. But really, it is the expectation of a message from time to time that has some sincerity and compassion in it.

It's all in the approach. If someone writes to me (male or female), I do read the message. If it's rude or offensive, I don't respond. However, if it's just a nice message, I'll respond. The awkwardness seems to come from not wanting to continue the conversation, but wanting to be polite. It's a fine line sometimes.

On the other hand, I have made some friends on Lit (that have turned into friendships offline). So, I'm always open to see what lies behind the AV!

from my experience it is very rare for a woman on here to send a guy a pm out of the blue, it only normally happens if they are replying to a personal message. dont take to heart if yiu dont get a reply, some women really are swamped under with the pms they get. just dont give up!

Honestly, the whole “internet language” and the inability to form a sentence with real words are my biggest pet pevs. It’s hard to take someone even remotely serious, when you get messages like: “How are u?” or even something with real words but still on the level of childish: “How big are your boobs?”

Admittedly this venue is difficult on many levels, so being aware and careful are always on top of my list when responding to any messages.
