I think we should limit campaigning to 6 months. That's more than enough time to have a reasonable election. Besides, it might give the candidates who have other responsibilities time to actually do the jobs they were elected for.

They announced ours like 2 weeks ago, and it's scheduled for Oct 14th. But since it's all the same idiots that have been screwing up since 2006, we don't really require a lot of pre-information.

I don't agree. You see, I've read pinkstarfish. She's not running for office - she doesn't have to be as well read or well versed to have an opinion. Maybe different things matter to her.

But, to proclaim her as vapid? Well, maybe she's started a few threads with just links and no commentary - but maybe she doesn't like to add her own commentary.

What she said about Palin rings true to me - someone who is probably a great deal different than pinkstarfish.

So, Freya - think you may want to back down a bit.

Whether Palin says nuk-u-lar or nuclear is not really the issue. But, it is synonymous with our current president who has shown to have no knowledge or ability in the foreign policy arena. There are a lot of similarities in political persona between Palin and Bush - a lot. I think she was just pointing out one.

I would imagine, and of course this is me psychoanalyzing, that if I spoke with pinkstarfish she'd probably be able to enunciate why she thinks this important - but instead she gets flames thrown.

Typical lit fashion - but I'm not going to dismiss her and denigrate her this way. I like reading her threads even if it represents something different from my norm.

Whose to say someone who posts pictures of their tits is not able to talk about politics? That sounds like something I would have said 7 years ago. ;)

That's not what i'm saying at all, Lav. I don't care if she has a picture of her twat up if she can fake a convincing answer to a post made to her.

Needy women annoy the shit out me, as do people whose opinions are only what's been spoonfed to them from whatever outside website they visit.

She posted a thread attacking a woman for the way she spoke a word, and then couldn't come up with anything more substantial when called on it. Fuck...I'm Canadian, have read about 2 articles relating to this election and I can come up with something more to insult whats-her-nuts with than her saying "nucular". Which is basically what I said to her in my first post...her inability to argue something even remotely intelligent back, just cemented my opinion of her.

And if you've read a thread of hers that has something more intelligent than how sweet Obama is with his kids, and therefore MUST be president, or how Palin mispronounces a word, and therefore MUST not be vp, then you're lucky.

BTW...are you medicated? Serious question. You come across as very...erm..."excitable". I was thinking bi-polar or perhaps some other similar mood disorder. If so, I'd cut your behavior a lot more slack...tho' I still wouldn't want to live within a 1/4 mile of you. You strike me as one of Those Neighbors who lacking any kind of life of their own, make it their business to run around and tell their neighbors their grass is too high or their mailbox the wrong color....when they're not standing in their front yard yelling and harping and generally making a spectacle of themselves.

God knows every neighborhood has one. I do.

Cuz sometimes you go off on rants and sound to me much like busybody (who I'm not sure isn't doing it for effect). Even Sean doesn't come across as out of control of himself as you do.
