Shiva the Destroyer.

Oh of course. As soon as I saw those blinds I knew who had done it.

Narrow slat blinds are so out, wide slats are in.

Pixie was in the process of redecorating when she became tired. :D

Clearly, you misnamed the little darlin' She wanted to be called Shiva all along.

She's a terrific little thing.

Still so tiny, but it becomes so apparent at times that she was a stray.

She scavenges for food.

We feed her well, stuff her to the gills, really, but she still scavenges, and it breaks our hearts a bit to see her do it. Plates, trash cans, chasing bugs, whatever. Her couple of months outside still show in her survival techniques.

She is a sweetheart.

And if it weren't for her trying to get outside to the birds at the feeders our blinds would still be in one piece.

;)

But that's a sign that you are succeeding. Feral cats eat lizards and rodents. Only well-fed housecats hunt birds . . . for sport!

1. Tie SUPER DESTRUCTOR KITTEN to the front of car.
2. Drive car through red lights.
3. Annihilate anything in your path.

How can something so cute be responsible for such destruction?

Yeah, I know. I'm an idiot. ;)

Actually, "Pixie" seems just about right... if you think about Harry Potter and those pixies.

I do believe they were full of mischief and mayham... thus she is perfectly named.

I am a careful home designer. All of my furniture purchases have slipcovers.

All accessories have been tested for cat rubs and dog swishing tails and are sturdy enough to crash to the floor without shattering.

I have the wood slat blinds. If my cat wanted something and felt the urge to go through the window, they would be a casualty. Especially since he's 15 pounds of pure muscle. Honestly, I don't know if the window could stand up to him.

Sometimes, they just feel the urge to redecorate.

But is her scavenging a sign of being a stray? My well fed orphan kitten has never had to hone her survival techniques. Fourteen years later, she still finds plates and trash cans to be endlessly fascinating for the treasures they contain and adores chasing and eating bugs. I think it's instinct, curiosity, and play at work.

My blinds have never survived a bird sighting either.

One of our cats is named Ozymandias; "Look upon my works ye mighty, and despair!"

He sends his congratulations along to Pixie. He says she Done Good.:D
