Irritated. So the roommate left Friday to go to his storage area in preparation to leave here. Still a carfull of his stuff here. I txt him to find out wtf is going on 5hrs later. Says he's with a friend in the hospital. Last night I tried to call to find out whats going on [hell he still has a set of keys to the house], voicemail is full, so I leave a txt. This morning, starting to get worried, call...vm still full...leave a txt. Go to MySpace to get a picture of him in case I have to file a missing persons report [hey, if I hadn't heard from him by tommorrow night I would have]...only to find he's on MySpace. Fucking jackass...would love to know what in Gods name he's doing, when he's taking the rest of his shit out of here, and when I'm getting the fucking keys to the house.
Hey lil_e. Been a while.
How are you doing?
Hey, RG,
Been doing Okay. Been on a sabbatical - had to stay away for a while, break my Lit dependency and get on with life. That's worked out well, but I also seem to have lost the ability to write. I've started dozens of stories, concocted countless others and the result i always the same - after a page or so, I run out of gas.
Being pissed at the world gave me the drive to persevere, but that's gone now.
On balance, I'll take it.
How's by you?
We all go through writing slumps.... hope yours breaks soon, extended though it may have been.
Good to see you, buddy.
Thanks, Bel. I just checked my WIP folder. 15 started. Just not getting the same sense of accomplishment as before. Each sentence is a struggle. I can visualize just fine, but the words won't flow. Getting phobic about even opening one of the files.
Hiya, lil_e!![]()
When I get there (meaning that it ain't about being busy, it's about blocks) what I do is I just keep opening different things until I get something that is speaking to me. I may open four or five before I get anything.
Don't know if you've tried that, might be worth a shot if you have not.
I also listen to music in the right genre... instrumental only, lyrics distract me. Writing a western? Spaghetti westerns soundtracks...
When I wrote "The Interrogation" I had the Braveheart soundtrack alternating with the Wicked Tinkers.
How about popular music that is the type favored by your characters?
I'm good. I've had several e-books published since the last time you were here.Hey, RG,

My mood is awake at three in the morning.![]()
'Kay, had a decent night's sleep and I'm ready to tackle the day ahead. I'm excited because I'm going to visit the school I student taught at last year, since I have to teach a private lesson in the area.
Also Kaiser Sea Horse is going DOWN!
