Seriously? Kerry for VP?

Kerry would be an excellent choice. He'll set the Dems back another 50 years, just like he did in 2004.

Did you know that when a veteran is killed over in Iraq that his family, his wife or husband, and children only receive $12,000.

That's not much money is it? What are you going to do with $12,000? How many innocent people who hated Bush's war would return the money to have their spouse back?

Kerry increased the death benefit to a military person killed in war to $250,000.

Let me think, do I want more of Bush or less?

Just like his father, Bush doesn't know how to fix the economy. Just like his father who started the Gulf War, George W started the War in Iraq.

Unlike Bush who never saw any battle, Kerry a Viet Nam vet, doesn't like war and doesn't want war. He'd rather fix the economy.

I've had enough of the Republican party running this country in the ground, getting us all in debt, devaluating the dollar, and spiking oil prices.

It wouldn't surprise me if the price of a barrel of oil increased because of Bush's foreign policies. The man would have to be crazy or in the oil business to piss of those countries that supplied the world with oil. You'd think that the Bush family was in the oil business...oh, they are.

I remember when Daddy Bush when to visit the Saudi's his last year in office, the price of a gallon of gas skyrocketed. Just a coincidence, probably, no doubt, right?

Then, George W visited the Saudi's just before the price of a gallon of gas hit $3.00. Just a coincidence, probably, no doubt, right?

I knew the stupid people of this country and we have more stupid people than informed people, people who read and understand what they read, would vote Bush in once those planes hit the towers. All George W had to do to win the election was to wave the American flag and promise revenge. He waved the American flag alright.

He even gave us his version of revenge. With a gallon of gas at $4.00 and home heating oil going up to $5.00 a gallon and more, the jokes on us, huh?

And what would the people of this country rather do than vote a black man in office? They'd rather drop their pants, bend over, and get fucked up the ass everytime a Republican President takes office.

Republicans are for you and me. The run on the platform of less government. Yeah, well, less government controls for them allows big business to make more money by eliminating air and pollution and safety controls. For those of you who don't like fish and who never eat fish, vote McCain and see what happens to the fish once they start offshore drilling.

Unbelievable.

The Republicans voted against increasing the death benefit for thos killed in war.

The Republicans voted against raising the minimum wage.

The Republicans have voted against every unemployment extension that has hit the house and the senate.

"Let them get a job if they are hungry. There are plenty of jobs out there. McDonalds and Wal-Mart are hiring."

Daddy Bush called Ross Perot crazy when he said twenty years ago that all the manufacturing jobs were gone. Ross held up charts and graphs to show America how jobs were going to Mexico, Taiwan, and South America and countries, such as, Sri Lanka that the average American never heard off.

President Ronnie, playing his greatest acting role, did that when he opened the doors to free trade. Now, America imports more than it exports.

All the high paying manufacturing jobs, just as Ross Perot predicted are gone overseas. Now, even our IT and telemarketing jobs are someone in India and every piece of shit merchandise we buy reads, made in fucking China.

The quality of goods are done at the expense of all of us. Wake up people. We have been fucked by the Republicans since Nixon took office and signed the legislation for HMO health care. Since that time doctors are overwhelmed with patients and too busy to give you and me a thorough exam. Hell, there's not any money in that, unless they run test and prescribe mediation we don't need.

Now, HMO's are a big business that has little to do with good health care. Thank you, Tricky Dickie, you out did yourself.

I'll give Nixon credit, though. He saw the big picture 35 years ago when he was romancing China. He looked at the Americans making $20 an hour working union jobs and looked at billions of rice eaters willing to work for 20 cents and hour.

Oh, yeah, the Republicans have our best interest at heart.

Have you seen McCain's house? It's a palace. He's starting to look like a little dictator, isn't he?

He's a nasty, little, old man who will bankrupt this country and bankrupt you. Republicans don't give a shit about you.

Every time a Republican takes office they reverse all the clean air and clean water acts. Any laws of ecology are gone.

Global warming? You're crazy! There's no global warming. Well, it's perfectly fine here in Texas. I don't see any melting icebergs where I am. You must be a liberal from Massachusetts to think that there is global warming.

"Mister President, I just saw a penquin walking around downtown Houston."

"Well, shoot the thing. I'm holding a press conference here."

As I was saying, there's no such thing as global warming. Good bless America.

So, tell me, how do you like you big gas guzzling man truck and SUV now, huh?

Do you know why we have those big foot carbon fiber footprints?

Well, I'll tell you. In '85 when the Democrats passed legislation for cars to get better fuel mileage, CAFE. They wanted every manufacturer's fleet to average 25 miles to a gallon.

Well now, the auto manufacturer's complained to their lobbyists who paid for the vacations of their favorite Republican senator.

The republicans found a loophole to the CAFE laws that required the average fleet of cars to get 25 miles to a gallon. They decided to shit can their line of cars, Chevy Caprices, Pontiac Bonnevilles, Oldsmobiles 88's and 98's, Buick Roadmasters and LeSabres, and Cadillac Fleetwoods in favor of trucks.

Hell, it wouldn't be much of a change. All the above named vehicles are body on frame vehicles and not unibody construction vehicles. We can just keep the same chasis and stick a pickup body or an SUV body on top.

Moreover, because these are trucks, they don't have to be as safe as cars. Hell, they can even roll over when taking a corner. And we don't have to waste money on side impact beams for the doors or head restraints. Matter of fact, lets put the gas tank on our pickups right behind the drivers head, so that if he's in an accident, he'll burn to death.

A better idea, let's make minivans and get rid of all the safe big station wagons. Let all the American morons put their children in minivans. Hell, the back door don't even have to close or lock. We can all watch someone's kid bounce down the highway.

This is what the Republicans did for us. They found a way around the CAFE laws by getting rid of the safe cars in favor of trucks, SUV's and minivans.

Did you ever see a minivan in a junkyard? They crumple like a soda can. There is little structural intergrity built into them.

A roof of a passenger car must be able to hold one and one half of its weight.

The roof of a pickup truck, SUV, and minivan must hold one and one half cases of beer.

Republicans are responsible for killing more Americans on the highways than the Japanese are with their ultimate revenge the Honda and Toyota.

I rest my case.

Kerry is my choice if Obama wants to make his loss certain.

BFW

Are you aware that minimum wages lift the wages of everyone earning more and makes outsourcing a lot more attractive? Ditto for the Affirmative Action Tax.

Maybe we should wrap everyone's asses in bubblewrap, bicycle helmets, and give them nanny escorts to hold their hands when they shit.

We should return our country back to where it belongs, to Americans. I'd like to see more tags that read made in America. I'd like to see a working economy. I'd like to see the Republicans stop giving billions to the pentagon and give it to we Americans.

For what Bush spent on his war, he could have every American working. No one would have a house in foreclosure had he spent what he spent on the war on the economy.

It's time we did like all the other countries of the world. It's time we closed our borders and closed our doors.

When you look at Japan and China what do you see? You see a population of yellow skin and black hair. No foreigner is allowed in their country to start a business, to go to school, or to take a job from one of their own.

I'm tired of us helping the world on the pretense that we are doing the right thing, when in reality, we are helping Chaney's ex-company get richer than it already is.

Haliburton didn't even have to bid to help rebuild Iraq. What the fuck is that about? Are you kidding me? Only in fucking America can George Bush get away with shit like this.

It's time for a change. I'd vote for you, James B Johnson if it meant to get the Republicans out of office. Only, you sound like more of the same. I can hear the echo from you having your head up your ass.

I sympathize with your complaints and feelings, Boston, but this really doesn't have much to do with Kerry for VP.

I seriously doubt that Kerry will be the VP nomination. The swing voters who wanted Bush over Kerry in the last election, and who are on the fence about Obama, would likely fall onto McCain's side if Obama has Kerry on the ticket. Given that Obama's proved to be pretty darn smart and savvy, I seriously doubt he's going to risk losing all those fence sitters who might not fall into his yard if he's picks the wrong VP.

So why not Kerry given the article? All the benefits the article says Kerry offers Obama are ones that Kerry is already giving Obama--support, backing, attack dog. As for a war vet, an older respected guy, a guy with experience, etc. for VP to balance out Obama...there are lots of those out there. Kerry isn't the only one.

So this talk of Kerry is all very nice and "scary" (just who are these "insiders?" Which party do they belong to? How much do they know?), but I really doubt Obama's going to go that way. He's got his pick of the litter. And unless the Democratic party forces something down his throat (he being their golden boy, that's doubtful, too), then Kerry is really unlikely.

I could be wrong on that. But Obama has had plenty of time to consider his choice, and he's got a wide choice. I think it's a little too early to scream "The sky is falling!" over Kerry as VP.

If he wants to counter McCain's war record, Clark is the much better choice. He even, as a general officer, has the admininstrative experience that counts so heavily against Obama. A much better choice.

he should go with Hillary...

I just wish there waas a 3rd opption to vote for.

Yes. Michael Barone and some others have pointed out this week that certain segments of the Hillary base have not "come over." This could be a problem for BO.

But so much of the electorate is so negative on Hillary that it could be a net loss. Hard choices, here.

It's so comforting, all this worry some of you have for Barack.

He'll be so touched.

:D

"Yeah, but, I got to bash the Republicans and I really like doing that whenever I can (lol)."

Besides, I know Kerry. He doesn't live far from me. He lives off of Mount Vernon Street on Beacon Hill at Louisburg Square. His next door neighbor his none other than Tom and Dola Stemburg. Tom, a multi-billionaire owned Staples Office Supply for years. He bought it off ex-Governor of Massachusetts and failed presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

I hope he goes with Clark. On the other hand, if McCain goes with Liz Dole . . .

I don't care, really, who he chooses.

It makes no difference.

Though I doubt he'd go with a woman.

Lots of resentment from the good ol boy crowd.

That might depend on how desparate they are to win the election. Some people, however, will cut off their own noses to spite their faces. There was a day when I hoped Condi was in line . . .

The state of Kansas thinks very highly of Elizabeth Dole. She'd be a terrific choice.

But there's so much sexism in the party.

Then again, go ahead, sign her up. It'll help Obama.

Can't to that. As a dyed in the wool fence sitter, a mugwump if you will, it would be immoral of me to help either side.
