We were safe from the flood, but worried about you!

We so need to get together soon. I need a "girl's night out".

Lol ... it was a waste of time really. He was about to put me through 2 hours of computer tests when I asked how much the position paid. I shook his hand and thanked him for wasting my time. Ah well ... I've got a lot going on in the next few weeks anyway. That *j* thing can wait until July now! :D

Glad the weather was quiet for you ... dad got ripped on ... pretty badly.

Still doing ok where I'm at, but now my way to work is blocked for who knows how long. I live north of Cedar Rapids, but work on the edge of Coralville. ALL the roads leading there are closed off from where I sit. If I wanted to get down there I would have to go north to Waterloo, over to on I-20 to I-35, down to Des Moines, and them back to the Iowa City area. What would normally be a 42 mile trip (one way) is now over 200 miles one way.

They closed my work on Thursday and Friday, and I'm guesing it may be closed a bit longer since a lot of their work force lives in Cedar Rapids.

Well one would think they would find a way to move the place to cedar rapids instead to amke it easier on everyone

Hope all's still well for you Alleine ... the news said it just keeps getting higher :(

I am fine in my little town, but Cedar Rapids will take years to recover from this. I have a friend who is an officer. She told me that once the water fully receded, it looked like a bomb had gone off downtown.

I know what your friend means Alleine the flood we had here in August took out everything about 9 blocks north and 10 blocks south of the river here and was any where from knee to chest high or worse depending onthe part of town you was in. The entire downtown and uptown main street was decemated but alot of places are running again.

just glad most of my town is up high enough. Just worried about the Water Treatment Plant

Hey all my friends.. Yes it is true, I am still alive, and the rolling Dungeon is still in one piece..

Great to see you sweetie. :) Have you stocked it with any new "items?"

It has been a long time since we've seen it in this neck of the woods.
