Jesus is our lord and savior

sorry roryn but you are not on the website i use i have a bible study cd i pruchased from my church

Same source, obviously - the content is identical. And all you're doing is cutting and pasting.

I could do the same from an atheist source, but I've got too much integrity for that tactic. Very odd considering that, per your words, you ought to be the one with more integrity.

Stolen from HERE.

You are a liar and a thief.

you mock me as you mock god, rory and seanH how can the word of god be stolen when it is our book to share with the masses? you have no hope in beating down the word of god ever.

Liar and Thief!

As humans we possess a very powerful drive to separate people into clear categories. We label others to define them as belonging in a specific niche in relation to us. This is not intrinsically wrong. In this violent world categorizing a person as a friend or foe may mean the difference between living and dying!

We naturally categorize people according to sex, race and language. A person is not prejudiced simply because he does such a thing, since a label may be used merely as an identifier. We may know two people of the same name, but we categorize them according to race or ethnic group. We categorize people according to trade, profession, height, weight, personality, social status, fashion, athletic ability, morality, and of course, religion. The list of categories is virtually endless.

Subconsciously, we categorize others constantly. Through this process we manage to keep a part of life fairly well-organized. But it has a damaging downside too because we also have a strong tendency to judge in generalizations. We categorize people as good or bad, friend or foe, converted or unconverted simply because they "fit" into a certain broad category. Though it may seem incongruous, an area of life where this tendency is seemingly strongest is religion.

Liar and Thief!

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

Are you teachable? Are you learning? Do you have a burning desire to learn? Do you know the keys to being teachable? Why is it so difficult for Christians to learn? What does God have to say about His children's need to acquire knowledge?

Not surprisingly, God has a great deal to say on this subject. For instance, He laments in Hosea 4:6: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children." God is serious! The penalty for rejecting God's teaching, for not learning, is that we will be barred from becoming priests, the Christian's promised vocation if he enters the Kingdom of God (see Revelation 5:10).

God says something similar in Leviticus 26:23-24: "If after all of this punishment you still do not listen to me, but continue to defy me, then I will turn on you and punish you seven times harder than before" (Today's English Version). The key phrase here is "if you still do not listen to me." We must not fail to heed God. What can we do to make sure that we do not fail?

thanks everyone for reading todays lessons i am going out on the deck to smoke a cig and get some sun on my legs. have a blessed day and god bless you all. frank :)

Why are you okay with defacing Christianity by providing such a poor example of how to be a good Christian? Your posts constantly reveal hypocrisy and lies. Those aren't Christian values.

If you're looking for self-edification, continue posting the way you've been posting. If you're more concerned about being a good Christian and setting an example, you'll stop. Very simple.

Let's see what you do...

Reported for copyright violations.

seanh reporting the word of god for copywrite violations will not happen, the bible belongs to me and you in fact everyone. the word of our god is our instructions for life seanh and roryn you are losing a battle you can not win against the word of god. you can try all you might but you will only succeed if you listen tot he word of god nothing you post will hurt a true christian, you both are sad lonely souls.

Christ said, "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." Is the gospel limited to preaching to the world?

Are you supporting a work that is preaching the gospel? Some, having a narrow understanding of the gospel, feel that unless we are preaching to the unconverted, we are not preaching the gospel. They judge that any church that is not preaching to the world is "dead"—not accomplishing anything for God. Is their concept correct?

Jesus clearly spells out his commission to the church in Matthew 28:19-20:

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

roryn my values are different than yours you seem to have no values, i checked all your threads and you have posted over 500 threads since being here and i checked the first 15 pages and none had as many views as my thread. you are jealous people are reading my post and sending me emails asking me questions about god. people take my post serious and you just laugh and make fun at people, if you would post honest threads you may get as much views as me but after looking at your threads i can see nobody takes you serious. jealousy is a tragic human emotion and leads to people to hate others for what they are.

seanh sadly just like roryn you are mistaken my source is not paul stevens but a bible study CD which is made to share with others on any place i see fit to spread the word of god. your attempt to silence me is filled with hate just as jesus was to be silenced and nailed to the cross only to rise again and spread the word forever! seanh it is your choice to come to my thread and read the gospel it can also be your choice to leave. i have freedom of speech here and will continue no matter how much you dispise it with jealousy. i am convinced roryn has several accounts and seanh in my view is one of them. desperate men go to desperate measure to prove a point. only thing you have proven is how foolish you are and how much you hate religion. i will still pray for your soul no matter how much you dislike me,. frank

Have you ever had a day when you felt that God was picking on you? Have you ever wondered whether you were worth a plugged nickel to Him? Have you ever had days when you felt that you were not doing all that you could? Have you ever wondered if God is paying any attention to you and what you are doing?

Probably every one of us can answer "yes" to all of these questions. There are days when we feel pretty small and insignificant. God writes through Isaiah:

Thus says the Lord: "Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build for Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all those things My hand has made, and all those things exist," says the Lord. "But on this one will I look: on him who is poor [humble, Amplified Bible] and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word." (Isaiah 66:1-2)

These humbling days that we endure are part of our training to be members of the God Family. We must be humbled before we can be exalted (Matthew 23:12; I Peter 5:6).

Just think, though, of what God has already done for us! The Father has called us to participate in His covenant and chosen us to receive the Holy Spirit, the down payment of eternal life (Ephesians 1:13-14). For this to happen, the Son had to give up His glory and take on human flesh, only to die a cruel death to redeem us from our sins (Philippians 2:5-8). How could we ever think that God does not care about us?

The Father loves us so much that He gave His only Son for our salvation (John 3:16)! The Son loves us so much that He gave His life—risking everything—so that we could become His brothers and sisters (John 10:11, 15; Romans 5:6-11)! If this does not strengthen our hearts and encourage us, nothing could!

Like the other apostles, Andrew fulfilled his commission, going and preaching to the scattered House of Israel. Tradition indicates that Andrew preached in Asia Minor and Scythia, which were along the Black Sea and extended as far north as the Volga River. Migration histories show that the ancestors of the Scots and Anglo-Saxons migrated from this area.

Modern Scottish tradition believes that Andrew preached to their ancestors. The story of his martyrdom says he was first stoned then crucified at Patras in Achaea on an X-shaped cross, commonly known as a "St. Andrew's cross." Legend holds that he hung there two days, continuing to preach the gospel until he died. Today, the "St. Andrew's cross" is a unique emblem of the Scottish people.

For there is not a just man on earth who does good and does not sin. Also do not take to heart everything people say, lest you hear your servant cursing you. For many times, also, your own heart has known that even you have cursed others.
