Meeting ADR

The past few days have been just wonderful.

Every minute of being with ADR and her family has been so fantastic.

Plus Velvet came into London yesterday and ADR met her too!

Poor Velvet had a heck of a time getting to us as one the tube lines was closed and it meant a long journey for her to find us. It was worth it from our point of view. She is lovely and if anyone gets a chance to meet her grab it with both hands (the chance, not her!).


I can't recall a time when I have laughed so much, from getting out the airport and having them light up in front of a HUGE sign saying 'No Smoking' yet none of us saw it! To almost running out of petrol (gas, I can talk American now lol) and having her daughter panicking to the point she 'almost rubbed her face off' ADR and I could not stop laughing, it is hard to drive and find a petrol station when tears are running down your face lol

ADR really is a wonderful person and her family are so great.

Her daughter is so full of life, fun and energy. I quickly learnt that everything is exciting to her and that alone was so much fun to stand on the side lines and see.


ADR and I both agree, Lit may have it ups and downs; but it is a very real community and means wherever you are in the world there is someone to meet and get to know a little better.

Without the net, or Lit, where else would that opportunity happen?

BUT, for those who told us that Stratford Upon Avon was a waste of time.... you were right!
Damn I bet if I look I will discover they were Doms, I hate it when they are right

It was a shame we could not get together with Catalina, JockDom or Nax, but hopefully another time

I would strongly recommend that anyone who gets a chance to meet people really should do it.

Having met ADR in Vegas and now in the UK, I just want to figure out when I can see her again.

I have been cursing my body soundly after it preventing me to do as planned and come meet you all. Fortunately I did the sensible thing and listened to it though as I really think given the past few days, I would have been crazy to come and likely spoiled the good time you are having. Give her huge hug from me and know I am doing all possible to get super fit so if she comes back next year I will be up and about, and hopefully before that will get to the UK to meet you and a few others.

I love hearing good meet-up stories.

Since coming to lit 6 years ago, I've met a number of people from the different boards I've frequented, from a Story Ideas lurker summer of '02 to a BDSM board member this last week. It's always a thrill putting faces and people and mannerisms to the comments you read.

In text, everything is pretty relative. In person, it's quite a change.

Last summer, meeting Graceanne to look in that box that had traveled around was a thrill, too. It was so, so much fun to see people's handwriting, and little trinkets.

Obviously I second the opinion that anyone who has the opportunity to get together with their online friends should snatch it up and go out for coffee, or what have you.

The only reason it is wonderful to meet people, is that most people on here are extremely wonderful people. I would of loved to have met up with ADR - I would say the same for you Shy and Velvet, but with you being in the UK I hope I can meet you both soon

I am glad you enjoyed the holiday and I hope some of our advice came in handy.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting someone from lit who is very special. So special in fact, that I hope our relationship develops more and more and I have the honour of calling her my partner/sub. It is so nice to meet people in person, and the fact that they are so wonderful makes it even better.

So any more meetings, I would love to be a part of them.. Just be warned, I am even more cheeky in person!

It was really lovely meeting ADR and her family. Her daughter is so much fun and absolutely overflowing with energy. I had a great afternoon and already talks are in progress for a meet in NYC next year, as a kind of halfway point between the UK and Vegas.

It was also fantastic to see Shy again. It always makes me chuckle when I come on here and see her posting as 'Shy' as she's one of the most forthright people I've ever met and her job demands a great deal of corporate dominance, from what I can gather. She is a fantastic person and an absolute riot to chat to.

Nax, it was a great shame that you couldn't join us but I'm very pleased to hear about your litogether-a-deux and hope that things blossom and progress for you and your mystery lady.

I've met some great people from Lit, shyguy68, m_wisdom and Lady Agie among others. It's always such fun to put names to faces and to hear the characters you've met on the boards coming through in their conversation and mannerisms.

ADR is freakin' awesome. She came out to meet me when I was in LV about a year and a half ago. She even drove me to the store so I could get a replacement part for my computer! I'm glad you guys are having a good time.

I can also drive over to Edinburgh, it has been a while since I was there and I have never spent time exploring it.
