how's work going? i thought of you this weekend when i saw another one of those yahoo stories, but when i clicked on it, i couldn't find the email button (that's why i always did it before) and now i can't remember the story.

i figure if anyone would mourn the passing of george carlin, it would be you.

Story progress log:

Untitled story with Meg: About 5,000 words done, temporarily on hold while it kind of stews, and while Meg does her thing.

Untitled incest story: I got inspired by the people on this thread who seemed to like incest stories. Though I never really had any interest in it before, the more I thought about it the more intrigued I became, so now I've got a story in works. The outline is done, and about 500 words are down. This will be next for me I think.

Untitled TS/TV story: I got great, great feedback on my last TS/TV story, and I think I have one more in me, something I want to set during the night of Obama's primary victory in Minnesota in February, mostly because it's the kind of thing I can write about the details of without having to use obsession with music, which is something I've already used as a point of interest for two people in two different stories. I haven't even put pen to paper on this one yet, as it's still rattling around in my head. It needs another couple of weeks to percolate there, but I'll get to it eventually.

This is all unlike Seth, who while I wrote this synopsis probably got four stories accepted and posted

yeah that made me feel good. in fact one of them said something like they didn't like the story but at least it was well written! lol...i'm still in shock from that!

isn't that the one that they were commenting on the rape? i would have to go back and look again, because i read the comments back to back, so i get confused which story had which comments.

i don't normally advertise other people's stories in here, but that's why i mentioned tarakin's. he got a lot of flack because he mentioned her bra size and everyone said that turned them off. i made a comment that i would prefer to get a simple bra size than have someone tell me which melon my breasts were.

i hate when people make comments like that....like your story, if they weren't interested, then why read it? i think what they were getting at is that it wasn't they typical incest story they were looking for, but to be honest, A LOT of incest stories have a bit of non-con in them.

I cannot believe how much of a mess I have to deal with -- it will be weeks before things are sorted out and making sense. I also hate the e-mail system here - maybe I'll like it better once I clean out the over 400 old e-mails!

lol good luck. I had the same issue when I started at my current job. I just started doing it my way so it made sense to me but .. it was a few months before things became "normal" lol

I'll have to read the story you're talking about. Non-consent incest -- I think that would be a tough sell for some readers, because it's like double taboo. Or more to the point, you might like incest but not non-consent; and vice versa. So you'll have people who read it hoping for only one aspect and then not liking the other. Very tough!

I'm figuring that whenever I get Shel's story done, of course it will have to go under incest. However, I'm fully expecting people to complain that step-siblings having sex is not incest. However, I think it will need to go under that category anyway, so whatevs. lol
