yep! had the fan going full blast right on me but i got it done...........lol Now sitting in the dark trying to stay cool. Should just turn the air on. Dad is cutting grass so on top of my cold i'm sneezing from the grass. maybe if i just pass out i'll feel better...........lol

then little one went and hid upstairs in the bigger attic room and we couldnt' find her. thought she had gotten out and we knew she'd totally panic if that had really happened. finally got her bird toy out with the bells and went into that room. came out like we hadnt' been calling her name for 15 minutes......lol

it's also hitting really hard this afternoon that i have to go back to hell tomorrow. I DONT' WANNA GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO i wanna win the lotto or find a rich hubby...............lol

ok think i'm going to go read and/or nap!

probably won't be around much again today, but will try to pop in when I can.

Good morning Cgirl! {{{hugs}}} LOL, yes you did! I think I should be around on and off today. It's not supposed to be as hot as yesterday, but we might go hang out with some friends this afternoon, instead of swimming.

I took my older girl out to the lake to stay with my parents for a couple nights, then came home and hung around with my neighbors/friends. I finally got to meet my friend's fiance, and he's just a peach!

Oh that's great! I figured he probably was a sweetheart!

yep thats where i got the phrase from - probably the only lasting influence that show will have on me, thank GOD

i am okay - had a busy, tiring, fulfilling weekend

went to a world refugee day festival on the southside today - yes yes i am a pinko liberal commie who kinda cares about other cultures

And that's why I think you're a peach as well


We were down at the pool for almost two hours yesterday, but since we didn't go til about 4:30, and I put on lots of sunscreen, no sunburns! A little pinkness to my face is about all. The water felt so good!

But later, after dinner, I was playing catch with my son (no mitt), caught a ball wrong and jammed my ring finger. I don't think it's broken, but it's definitely badly sprained. Can't bend it all the way or grip with it. But I can still type!

It's nearly 10:00 and my son is still sleeping! Some of you may not realize how huge this is -- but he practically never sleeps past 7:15 or 7:30. He told me he wanted to sleep in, and he meant it

Oh that's awful about your finger! Ow ow!!! I can almost feel it! Is it bruised or swollen or anything like that? lol - isn't it great when the little ones sleep late? I love that.

So glad you didn't get sunburned. My shoulders and back got it somewhat yesterday, but not too bad. Today is cloudy and overcast.

He really is nice, and she deserves it. They are leaving for the south sometime this week to go to a wedding, then he's flying home and she's driving back. Then sometime over the summer she will be moving to be with him. That's a huge step for her.

I've got the fans going, too, but no a/c. I won't need it today. Hopefully not at all this week. I love the cooler weather and having the house wide open. Humidity - STAY AWAY!!! LOL!!

aw crap, back to work. The very worst part of vacation. Hope you're feeling a lot better by then.

Glad you found your cat. They can be so stubborn when you're trying to find them, and they can get into places you'd never think to look! lol

Hi and welcome to the living room It is fun sometimes to co-write stories, but I tend to take so long, and my muse is rather unreliable at best, that I wouldn't want to agree to co-write a story and then not be able to write a word. I started co-writing a story with someone else, and it's still languishing "in the works" and I always feel guilty when I think of it

I hope you'll feel free to join in the thread conversations any time you can though

Hi Charger! I think we just missed each other. Just got home from the grocery store. $60 and I didn't even buy much of anything -

I've got chicken in the crockpot, will make some rice to go with it, and some watermelon. I should add a green veggie, but all I have is cauliflower. Chicken, rice and cauliflower? No - too much beige! lol
