For eight years (1993 - 2001) I slept with a married - but separated - woman.

But, the current SO is like me a single, never-been-married fifty-something.

All of there husband's knew about it.

But, in one case, the husband was pissed. He wasn't in on the situation and didn't care for his wife sleeping around. They divorced....

But the other's knew about it and encouraged it. Many times being present. Lotta threesomes usually happen...

Married 26 years here-- have slept with married women and would do it again. Have not slept with single women (not counting the half dozen pros I've been with whose marital status was unknown to me) since I got married. I have been cheating off and on (currently off) for about 5 years.

I would be leery of single women. I would worry they would think I would divorce to marry them. I would worry that they would put too much emotional dependence on me. I would worry why they would invest emotional capital in me rather than finding a guy who is consistently available to them. I would worry about security.

As a rule, I wouldn't sleep with anyone without their significant other being aware of it, at least as far as I'm aware. There was one sorta-exception to that rule that still makes me feel awful to this day, and I don't plan on doing that again.
