So today we were doing some shopping a bit early, we were picking up some things for the place. We wanted some lumber to make planters and some cables to help anchor the Trailer in high winds. We made our purchases and were walking back towards the front of the store when I found a pair of work gloves that actually fit me. (I have small hands.) I grabbed these and fell in love with them. A bit pricey at $18.00 but very comfortable.
So we paid for the purchases and were heading out with everything on a cart. It was hot and humid and we were sweating just walking across the parking lot. We loaded the car and then I surprised my wife. I headed back towards the store exit while telling her to go ahead and start the car. I had seen something I wanted.
There by the exit was a stand with a woman selling such things like Hot Dogs and cold Soda. I made my buy and back to the car I went. My wife looked at the bag in my hand in confusion until I opened it. Philly Dogs and Cold Soda. (Hey I was hungry.) My wife has never had a Philly but she was game and tried one. Oh did she love that. We both had two and talk about hitting the spot. (Too bad anyone down wind tomorrow will be paying for it.)
When we got home we started working. My wife started in on the overgrown flower bed in front of the trailer. She was cutting everything out so I can go in and rip out the roots. Then we'll put in a planter there with Roses. I meanwhile was raking up another load of Pine Needles. Hot and dusty work. About halfway through my wife called me over to look at something she had found. When I looked I saw a bug I had never seen before. It took me a bit of investigating before I found it. The blasted thing was one of the strangest and neatest looking spiders I have ever seen. It's called a Spiny Orb Weaver. Truly strange little critter. I moved it off to the side and we went back to work.
So now I'm sitting here staring at the computer screen and thinking about getting dinner ready. Skirt Steak marinated in Mojo accompanied by Garlic Bread and Mixed Veggies.
