Strewth, You lot. I dunno, every time someone mentions a nasty type critter, there's someone carrying on about how my fair land is dangerous to tourists.

It's enough to make ya spit.

So here. I've found a nice little touristy ditty for you all. Should make you feel much better.

Come To Australia

I'd love to visit Australia, dangerous critters or no. :)

OMFG! That's a riot! Is it too late to book a non-stop flight on Quantas? I'll be at your caravan compound in time for lunch. A Vegemite sandwich maybe? :D

Well, I'd still like to visit... not quite sure about the vegemite sandwich though.

Been there. Eaten that. Don't wanna do it again. The eating, anyway.

The beer on the other hand . . . heavenly.

I don't mind the critters so much as the 200,000 hour flight...

That one looks a tad undernourished for the ones around here - they're a bit beefier in the body.

Fuck I hate those things.

Bwahahahahahahahah .... spew

I don't think that we have any poisonous animals/insects in northern Minnesota. If you visit in the winter time we could get some hypothermia with a side order of frostbite!!!! Nothing like windchills in the -30 degrees C and lower!

When you say "stone the crows", aren't you supposed to precede that with "Gorblimey"?

There may not be any poisonous critters native to MN, but there might be a few rattlesnakes in some areas. Some of the remote areas might have grizzly bears who, once in a while, have been known to attack and eat humans.

I spent two winters in Duluth, and it gets colder than that, close to -40F, even before the wind chill factor is figured in. Bemidji and International Falls are even colder.

I love Duluth. It only has four things wrong with it: Nov, Dec, Jan and Feb. Mar ain't too loveable none, neither. I mean, how cold does have to get to freeze all of Lake Superior five feet thick?

It has more than that wrong with it. It's basically built on the side of a cliff.

Some years, summer comes in late June and some years it comes in early July.

Screw that! Keep your ice and snow and bears! I'll put up with my monster spiders (ewww) and poisonous snakes anyday!

Yup. Notice I haven't left the warm for the glorious scenery and wonderful people. Now a vacation home overlooking the lake with a boat dock below . . .

It doesn't mention the dingos that attack in packs and the platypuses with their poison spurs and the poisonous sea snakes. It does include a koala, which I always thought were pretty harmless.
