So Mister Man whacks me around and stuff--I mean, we engage in consensual impact play. But I haven't had that ooh-I'm-sore feeling the next day in forever! I mean, almost since I started playing.

And I've played with a couple of other people in the past 5 months or so, also without sore spots the next day.

What gives? It hurts when he does it. He's done it in the same spot repeatedly. Used a closed fist for "deep tissue impact." Still can't feel it the next day.

Any advice? Maybe we're not doing it long enough.
 
You may not be doing it long enough. On the other hand, your body has probably built up a tolerance to it, too. The more often I play, the less ache I feel the next day, unless it's something really, really deep.

Try hitting new areas? Or cupping, maybe. Cupping left my back sore for two or three days. I'm not sure; I tend to have the same problem myself. :confused:

Of course, I could stop posting here, and get a moving upstairs, but we're both tired tonight, alas.

He did make me wash his hands earlier. Sounds goofy but it was really hot.

ETA: I love manly hands. Slurp.

Sure, exercise. Heavy lifting works nicely, as I'm sore for days afterwards.

Okay, try different types of pain. Zippers are a good thing, as are synthetic canes such as the black delrin wand of vile that lurks in my closet. If thuddy pain doesn't leave you sore, go for loads of stingy pain and tear the hell out of your skin.

In short, change things up. You've adapted to what is being done.

The only thing that makes me sore is if I have been inactive in whatever it is.

Weights, getting hit, running, thinking, etc, after a day or two off getting into it I wont get sore from any off those for months.

But do you really want to be inactive?
 
Big heavy leather paddle, not a flogger or one of those silly slappy sounding ones. We're talking frat paddle on the inner thighs, that still leaves bruises on me.
