My daughter tells me that "Do not want!" came from a copy of Star Wars that was translated into Chinese. Then-- it was subtitled back into English. You know towards the end where Darth Vader is yelling "NOOOOOoooo..."

That's where it came from.

I'm as old as you are and at least as grumpy. Children must be able to spell (even if teacher uses spellcheck!). Cats don't have to. Its part of their charm.
