You might have a few complaints about "I saw this by another author before!" from your feedback. It would also seem to defeat the purpose of changing identities, at least to me. A name change with all the same stories/circle of friends isn't exactly the witness protection program *laugh*

Otherwise, no rules against it that I know of.

Other than pissing off readers, probably not.

I was deleting a few stories for publication elsewhere and Laurel and Manu actually deleted one that I wished to stay!

After a quick PM, they reposted it, but I actually got feedback saying - "Hey! This isn't a new story!"

Truly loyal fans will recognize you immediately.

So what would the purpose of an alt be then, anyway?

I'd probably put a note at the top of each of them, anyway, explaining that they were re-posts.

I'd probably also have to write a couple of new things to keep everyone happy...

No rules against reposting, but personally, I can't see any point to it. The stories WILL get lower scores than they have now if even a few people happen to have read them before even if they don't accuse you of stealing them. (which adds to Laurels workload, BTW if they bother to use the report problems link.)

I'd just add your other identity as a favorite author under this identity so people who want to find your old stories can find them.

(of course, I don't cross-refer from this userID to my pen-name but the pen-name references back to Wierd Harold if you bother to read his bio. But then, the opption of adding my other personality as a favorite didnt exist when my alt was created.)
