Who knew?!

Today was only my third time there- went Friday, Saturday and today, so far... doing a trial 10 visit thingy, but think I'll be signing up for the year pass... I'm starting slow, but...

I just had the GREATEST workout! 20 mins on the bike (in which time I did 4 miles... on Saturday, I only did 2.5 miles in the same amount of time), and then 30 mins on the treadmill, grinning and mouthing along with Bif Naked on my iPod... I'm sure I looked like a moron, but I could have stayed on that treadmill for another half hour, if I didn't know Honey was coming to get me. No rowing machine today (which is something I'm trying to do each visit, but my back hurt, so not today), but still- 50 solid minutes of high cardio. Fuck man, I'm pumped up!!

LOL

congrats

I think I see another addict!

Woman! Totally! And the numbers on the machines are my markers- I'm HORRIBLY competitive, so I'm trying to always beat my last numbers... gods, I'm so excited, and so happy... I feel SO good about myself.

And I'm eating better, too... something just clicked in my head last week...

it went something like this:

Red. Wedding. Dress.

Ding ding ding!

Wow, good for you!!! Isn't it crazy how that works?! :) I've been having to go to the gym for being naughty. He knows it's a nasty punishment for me 'cause I have always hated exercise. But the more I go, the less I hate it. Shh, don't tell, but now I kind of look forward to it.

It's great when the love/hate relationship gets heavy on the love.:)

That's awesome, so happy for you! It's so difficult for me to get my ass in gear and actually go to the gym, but once I'm there. I'm there. I haven't had my ass in gear for the past two months though.

-sigh-

*grinning*

I was terrified, going for the first time last week... I got heckled a bit, but, I have to start somewhere, right?

So they can go fuck themselves, and I'll just work off the pounds.

Woo hoo!!!!!!! Good for you! I'm not much for working out on the machines at the gym, but kickboxing class is great exercise and great therapy! It feels so good when you find something that 'works' for you. Keep it up! :)

PS- Red. Wedding. Dress!!! Gotta love it!

But of course :) my favorite is going in, lifting weights for about 30-45 mins, using the elliptical just long enough to get sweaty then rinsing off and swimming. If there's time to sauna after the whole body just feels like it's glowing. Eventually you get to the point where your body complains if you don't go. Good luck and tell the gym rats to bug off. I think it's awesome that you're going in and feeling good. And congrats on your soon-to-be nuptuals too. You will look gorgeous for your special day, no doubt about it. Because you are already gorgeous. So feeling good from working out will just add to your aura. If you ever need extra motivation to go (cuz there are always those days) I highly recommendent making a playlist of music that pumps you up. "We built this city" and "Eye of the Tiger" definatley top my list

*grin* I had such a fun time... I could have broken into dance on the treadmill, if I wasn't afraid of missing a step and face-planting myself on it.

Thankya!

I'm big on the playlists... was listening to Bif today.

And thank you.

Yes, I'm stoked to go... and I can't manage to go daily because of a hundred other things going on (my brother's wedding in 2 weeks, etc)... but I go when I can. :)

WHO care what they say.,. Screw them half the people who go to the GYM dont go for getting healthy they go to pick up people.. Sigh.. Go for it. You know you have my support Jade... and I am starting with a trainer on Thursday! so come on .. ;)

I've become addicted to the weight room. I lift 5 days one week and 4 the next.

I cant believe someone heckled you. well ok, I can, but our gym is so great about that. i've had a few women come up and tell me how great I look and encourage me to keep it up. It's not a small club... it's Bally's. But everyone there is great.

Heckling follows me. People where I live can be so wonderful, but there's always the no-minded morons.

I just turned up the iPod, and kept on going. Fuck'em.

I crave it!

I get up at 6am and get over three miles in first thing before jumping in the shower. I do my strength training, three times a week and do an hour of cardio a day.

Congratulations, Jade! Keep up the good work.:)

i was a gym addict, but since i got my piercing ive really been slacking off becuase i wasnt able to go at first and had to be very careful afterwards. now i feel out of shape but leaving school and going away have made getting back into ruitine unlikely

we started at the gym last July. I'll admit, I said I'd go just to give in to Malin.

Then I found I loved it. I loved the stress relief and the way I felt afterwards.

We've started changing up our routine a bit, just to jump start our bodies. I've also started trying to do 2 laps around our building at least once a day. (For those who dont know, I sit at a desk for 9 hours a day). I do about 20 minutes of cardio or strengthening on the days when we dont go to the gym too.

I'm a gym rat. Sometimes, I will go two times in a day. (Strength training at lunch and then cardio after work when I have my son and he is only allowed 1.5 hours in the kid's area).

I try to go everyday, if nothing else but to get cardio in. I absolutely love it.

My company pays more than half of my fees - so why not take advantage of the benefit?

Good for your LittleJade!

I'm quite the lazy butt so even if I live in front of a gym, I never go ... I went for a while while at Uni, but noticed that instead of loosing weight, my muscle were bulking up and was turning into the Michelin Doll. LOL
I used to do Aikido and loved! I would even get up before the sun was up to go to practice ... and I am not a morning person.

You'll look even more beautiful in your wedding dress! :rose:

I started at Body Sport Fitness Today.. with my Trainer Mel today I know tonight I am gonna HATE him.. but I feel so good right now.. I have a goal in mind and Im gonna reach it..;)
