Go Spurs Go!

We'll see. The Cavs are a strange team, prone to be really mediocre, then have outstanding performances. It doesn't hurt that they have probably the most dominant player in the game to fill in the gaps the rest of them leave. They'd have to really play well to beat Detroit (or the Pistons would have to be really off), but I'd like them more against the Spurs because of the matchups. Still, Utah isn't going to lay down. I'm betting that will be a very interesting (if not thrilling) series. Utah is way too physical to get pushed around like the Suns were. I don't know if that can translate to a win, but it should be fun to watch.

And that's the spirit of the game. Win or lose, my Spurs will put forth their best game, in all series. And that's what I love to see.

'Night, Des ;)

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought you;'d become a fan of 'Spurs', UK version, one of our top and oldest football (soccer) teams, Tottenham Hotspurs I guess that was a silly assumption.

:D

It's that time of year again . . . .

The Spurs are into the second round of the Western Conference playoffs, after all but sweeping the Phoeniz Suns. Tonight is the first of the second round, and we're up against one of our nemeses, the New Orleans Hornets. They've trounced us before, and while not the team that could carry it through to the end, the Hornets are a veritable thorn in the Spurs' side.

This promises to be a good series. I'm sure I'll be on my toes . . . .

I've missed who else even made it to the next round.
Yeah, I know the Suns blew it big time.
Suppose I better do some reading......LOL

Lakers are in, Dallas is out . . . and, of course, in the EC, the Celtics are the big guys.

It's going to come down to the Spurs and the Celtics for the championship. That's going to be a hell of a series. :D

Then I agree there. Lakers I'm not a fan of.

End of 1st quarter against the Hornets. After a faltering start, the Spurs are leading by 4, with a 50% percentage versus New Orleans' 42%

A good start. ;)

I can't get it on my dip-shit radio...still some things that suck in my life :D

Spurs aren't doing so good right now.
I'm out of here.....

Well, I know I went against the Spurs in every series last year (and lost them all), but I'm sticking with my tradition. I think the Hornets are going to get by them because Paul is the most amazing point guard I've seen since Isaiah Thomas. It will be very tough to get by the spurs, but I think they'll do it (if no one gets hurt or completely goes in the tank). The Lakers are going to win it all...that team is going to be insanely hard to beat in a 7 game series. I think the Celtics will come out of the East (if they don't choke in game 7), but they can't beat the Lakers. Kobe is keeping it under control and they're unstoppable. He's going to have one of those Jordan-esque games soon (look for 50-60 points), you can see it coming. This is finally his year to do it without Shaq.
