What are some common faults in a person? I am having a hard time coming up with some for my characters it could be one of your own weaknesses, or a percieved weakness in/ or by others.
Thank you for your time and support - ms.read
Fictional characters with a flaw:
Sherlock Holmes: addicted to drugs.
Superman: vulnerable to Kryptonite.
Horatio Hornblower: Tone deaf and seasick at the start of a voyage.
Og
Yes, every hero needs a flaw.

Thank you for the input so far.
So im working on an incest idea and the mom
She's vain and and self absorbed, pushy, and arrogant and thinks she's percieved as an authority figure ( she's a college proffessor.) I just couldn't think of the words to fit her. Anyway, there is a family trip. She has a wonderful family, loving husband and two darling kids. She gets the idea in her head that she wants to have sex with her son.
How should it play out?
Son just accepts his mom's advances and be a little subbie to his mom ?
Or son manipulates his mom into think that she has control over him, Then BAM! He goes all Dominant on her?
thank you vermilion. I think the second one is gooing to be better. He is passive aggressive, but I think as things roll along he's not going to be so subtle.Depends on the son's nature and his upbringing. Either he has been 'brainwashed' by his mother's arrogance and dominance and would be used to submitting to her will and being compliant *or* he would have a stronger nature than that, maybe inherited from her and there would be a struggle for dominance. Perhaps he sees having sex with her as being a way of gaining control over her, so he pretends to go along with it at first, then starts to turn the tables on her.
The first one would be easier to write, the second more complex but, possibly, more interesting to read.
