...and HEY!! you were lurking on my thread!?
I totally get all that.
BUT...same guy... flat stomach or beergut? No pref?
You'd rather I didn't?![]()
I think we're talking semantics here.
Would you be happier with a flat stomach? Then that's what I prefer.
I think you can't concieve of this because YOU would prefer a woman with a flat stomach and perky boobs. You can't believe women don't think that same way.
I'd rather you spoke up when there.
And you are dodging the question.
I know that I do not find my wife unattractive and she has become QUITE overweight.
Yet I certainly find her MORE attractive and PREFER to see her fit.
I also understand that when I get more fit it CAN make her self-conscious about her weight.
I kind of enjoy a guy with some meat on him. It just gives a woman more to wrap her legs around.
I would have if I'd have had something to say.
I'm not dodging. I just told you, my husband is QUITE fit and pretty attractive, yet, I find him completely unappealing.
Now my head hurts. Pick on someone else for a while.
SEE??? Pick on Danielle now.
You "don't mind a beer gut or a receding hairline"... but wouldn't you PREFER a flat stomach and a full head of hair?
I would have if I'd have had something to say.

Last December I wanted to lose excess lard because I didn't like my overweight flabby shape when I was naked. So I started a tough regimen of exercise. I've lost almost no weight, but I look (and feel) much better because I carry myself well, walk and stand straight, with more "core strength" in my upper body. People keep telling me I've lost weight when I haven't.
At first I thought that consciously holding my stomach in was kind of cheating. But in fact if a man has good core muscles it does hold in the abdomen, and generally gives a more "manly" appearance and posture.
So basically what I'm saying is that for a male mid-life crisis (which Throbbs is clearly undergoing) I recommend exercise.
It's about the body language, really; If the beer gut comes with a walk that swings from the hips, a flexible spine and shoulders, a sense of confidence in the arms and hands-- then I have no problem with a beer gut!
These manifestations of promise are easier to evince, when your waist has good muscle tone... For many people, the effort of keeping tone means you lose the gut. But not always.
Likewise, a full head of hair can disguise some facial characteristics-- especially long hair. A guy can tuck a weak jawline into his curly locks, for instance. But a man with a good, strong, symmetrical skull will simply keep on looking better and better the more of it is revealed.
For the same guy? Sure, less flab makes a sexy man sexier!
(Edtied to add; ) Dance classes! Bellydance for men, if you can find it!
yeah, the pain for the gain is what's stopping me, too! That's what I figured.
Being fit sure won't hurt. ('cept for that "no pain, no gain" concept).
yeah, the pain for the gain is what's stopping me, too!
I really like SubJoe's post, too.
How about a kilt? That seems to turn on some of the Lit ladies.

After exercsie I exude confidence through every pore.
I think you're highlighting an obvious, but little-discussed fact: We men have confidence issues regarding our attractiveness as we get older. We don't just want to be liked, or even loved. We want to feel desired, sexually. Men are really just women with dicks.
