I am unable to move threads into this forum, only out of it. Good thread start. What sort of camera do you have?...a lot of them do have self timers with two choices of times, and some even allow for remote control function which can be even better.

ah okay, i just copy/pasted it all to my original post, so its on GB and here as well.

My digital cam is Samsung S730, i am not sure if it has the self timer.

Seems it is a good camera, and it does have a self timer of 2 or 10 seconds!
