Something new on the horizon that I stumbled across while reading today.

Haven't seen any rhyme nor reason to what stories they appear on yet, although "How To" and "Reviews and Essays" seem to have more of them than any other cat. If it appears, it's on the last page of the story, somewhat close to the voting form.

I'm just afraid I'll always be matched to some author named "Dirty Incestuous Pig Lover" who writes fan fic about Babe the pig getting it on with his own brother or something equally ick inducing.

I gotta say, I'm not too happy about this. I just looked at my Nude Day story from last year, and I'm apparently now linked to scouries by two degrees of separation by clicking on the first "similar" story to mine.

That story, which is in the incest cat is not even remotely like mine, which is in E/V. So, the list that on the incest story brings up not one but TWO of those delightful missives my our friend, scouries.

Give it some time. I suspect the database is processing behind the scenes, and it will pick up more stories for results that are actually related as it grinds through the massive archives.

In the meantime, don't mention it to anyone so they don't associate you with the questionable ones who seem to have the most indexed at the moment I purposely blinked around until I found a screen to capture that didn't have certain people in it, and it unfortunately took a while.

Only found one of mine that has the links so far, and one of them is Colleen's "The Chair", so the DB is building up some links that I'm sure you'll all be happier with as it grinds away.

There are some with links that posted today, though. It's obviously not running in sequence by Lit ID#, and the category range ( while still a little narrow ) is too wide for it to be indexing by category.

Ah well, we know the DB spider is crawling around, and it'll pick up everything eventually. I'm already seeing where some of the links are becoming more relevant on a couple of mine that just popped up. Once it's indexed the whole database, then we'll have a real idea how good it's "similar" designation really is.

I bounced over to Shadows and Light in the nonhuman cat and clicked on a couple of the link stories. They at least were in the nonhuman catagory. One of these connected to a Killermuffin story that was at least inthe non human catagory. The links from this story were to a writing how to, how to improve your writing, ect. Two of them had been writen by Killer muffin. Weird stuff

I can't get to it using the link, the search engine or the story category listing. I can see the title and the description in the last two, but the link doesn't work.
