Let the Games Begin!​

Taking two ideas I tend to love, harems and felines, I've decided to try my hand at yet another thread. This thread will be through invite only, therefore, you may post a profile here in the casting thread and await approval. If I dont' approve of your character then please do not post in the (soon-to-be) official thread. Read below for an synopsis of the story's plot.


Synopsis:
Four royal daughters have been living off their family's money far far too long. All are at the age to marry but none wish to give up their spoiled lifestyle. As a result, their parents are highly unamused by their childish ways and silly sibling squabbles over unimportant things. Despite the king having an heir by way of his son; he is hard pressed to have the girls wed and move out of the castle. More so because he wants grandchildren...

Realizing the daughters are hell bent on keeping their lazy lifestyle, the king has decided upon an ultimatium. If either princess does not find a choosen prince by the years end then their hand will be given by way of arranged marriage to a nobleman of their father's choosing. With this in mind the girls have come to a compromise in order to find their choosen prince sooner. Allowing noblemen from all over the land to court them by way of the king. This being, they would be housed within the walls of the palace for the year until the daughters had found the man of their choosing. This was accepted but with a price; the king who had already made his ideal choice for the girls will also house the men of his choosing in digusie. Neither girl will know which man was their father's pick, thusly, if they should fall for that man; it would satisfy their father greatly.

In the meantime, the king has grown quite concern for his son who has shown no interest in other women. Spending too much of his time with the girls... could this mean what he thinks? Is the prince possibly in love with one of the girls? While marrying in the family is not prohibited it had not been practice for many generations; could this mean a revision of the bloodline pact?

As you can see a lot of scenarios can be birthed from the one plot. First the girls are to be married off if they do not pick a suitor of their choosing. Secondly the royal son seems smittened by one of the girls; this could mean the revision of the Bloodline Pact, allowing for marriage of direct blood.

There is possibility for other side stories as well, father has a thing for his daughters (possible), the queen is a nempho (possible), the daughters are bi-sexual (possible), or maybe one is in love with a distant cousin/relative (also possible). So yeah lots of side stories in accordance with the actual plot.

As a reminder I have a busy lifestyle now and am not online as often so please join only if you can handle moving a story along without the constant need of the GM. If you need my presence ALL the time then I would advise against this.

And yes I will be playing one of the daughters, why else would I set up this thread? So without further ado, post your informaton and let me take a look. Keep in mind I have some people at the top of my list should they show interest. You know how you are...

I'm game for this rp. I'll post my profile for my char in a bit. Currently craving the role as a bodyguard so I'll probably roll a character who's apart of the royal guard of Felidea and protector of the family.

Not so much one of the chosen suiters picked by their father, but I like playing a char that can make things a bit more complicated.

Name: Tagor
Appearance:

Gender/Race: Male/ Catboy or Feldian.
Age: 27 in human years
Bio: Born and raised specifically as a Feldian defender for the royal family Tagor has all the necessary requirements for being a top notched example of a feline solider and commander.

This didn't turn out to be the case however as a certain incident in a decisive battle against the dogs of war had Tagor shunned and discharged from the front lines of the Feldian army and placed within the peaceful castle walls to watch over the daughters of the kingdom.

It's because of this Tagor can seem somewhat restless at times, but is otherwize very loyal and protective of the royal family as well as his own beliefs, which is often the direct cause for many of his troubles.

Hearing the the proposal made by the king to his daughters and of the arranged marriage. Tagor had remained indifferent knowing all too well that his chances are pretty slim...but then again..

Name: Prince Vincent

Gender/Race: Male/ Catboy or Feldian.
Age: 20 in human years
Bio: Vincent was always over shadowed by his elder brothers, he was never as good as them, so he mostly kept to himself and learned from his fathers advisors and the sages in the royal library.

When his mother died, his father remarried immediately, his step mother was the princess of a neighboring nation that was almost at war with their own. She was meant to marry Vincent’s eldest brother, but his father took his place when he got the chance.

The neighboring kingdom assassinated both the king and his eldest son, making it look like they had killed each other over the new queen. She married Vincent’s last remaining older brother and the kingdom was effectively annexed by her father’s kingdom.

Vincent managed to figure out what was going on, and could have been a threat to their power, as such he was sent away to take part in the rather unusual competition for the hand of one of the princesses, even if he failed, by the time he got back it would be too late to do anything about the political takeover.

Species/Gender: Felidae Female
Age: 21

Bio/History: One of the royal siblings, Wynn is quite used to having things done her own way. Its very rare for anyone to tell her no- and when this does happen, she tends to ignore it anyways, either doing it herself or pestering until the person she's asked finally caves and meets her demands. Curious like her other siblings, she tends to get herself in trouble due to her stubborn temperment with her quest to find out what things are and how they work.
As for their father's request to find a spouse... Wynn's none too impressed at the prospect of finding herself a man. To find a rutting partner, sure; she's all up for that. But to be forced to marry? Not exactly her idea of fun.

Species/Gender: Felidae Female
Age: 25

Bio/History: With dark skin and light fur, Minx stands out the most among the other daughters. Her rare breeding is often the talk of the town; as not many believe her to be a biological daughter to the king and queen. Along with such ideas, many would-be suitors have caught when of rumors by townsfolk and turned tail rather than meet her; this dark cloud of misfortune has been the bane of her existence. Even so, Minx has already figured "if they can't handle it, fuck'em". While marriage sounds interesting enough, she is not quite ready to throw in the towel and take the throne, instead she'd rather bask in the sun and explore her surroundings a bit more before settling. Her acid tongue and quick wit has been ideal in keeping her freedom up until now but with her father putting his foot down, it appears she'll have to use other means in keeping her freedoms that much longer. "If its war he wants it's war he will have." so the saying goes...

Age: 23
Bio: Being an only child born into the wealthy family of a now retired military commander caused a lot of added pressure and responsibility to be placed onto Alexander's shoulders at a young age. While growing up, he's constantly been expected to meet and excel at any lesson or challenge presented to him in preparation for following in his fathers footsteps. And after constantly coming up short in early efforts of trying to satisfy everyone, he's generally resorted to responding to his responsibilities by doing whatever possible to make himself as much a pain in the neck for those around him as he feels they've been to him.

It started out as childish pranks when he was little, then a rebellious attitude and tendency to act out in defiance throughout the majority of his teen years. These days he's not as loud and obnoxious about retaliating, but continues to hold a disdain toward giving into and accepting what others want for him. He's an overall quiet person, but quick to speak out whenever something strikes his interest in either a negative or positive way. Can also be a little snippy when being told what to do, leading most outside of his parents hesitant to speak out about the lack of respect shown toward his studies or practices.

While participation in the competition has been thrust upon him by his mother and father, Alexander figures it'll make for an interesting change of pace from the life he's lived thus far. If anything, it'll keep the usual suspects off his back for the time being and allow him space to think about what's expected of him and what he might like to do with his future.

UM's actually in six of the seven threads I'm in right now (if she joins this), and we've been talking about another one. Keep telling her people are going to think we're stalking each other, and even I'm starting to wonder now. heh
