I've had them done twice, and my body ended up rejecting them both times. My nipples are rather deformed-looking now, so I haven't bothered having them done a third time.

But, oh, God, those needles felt soooooo good going in.

Pierced my right one by myself December 2007, had the left one done professionally the next day. 16ga rings, I forget the diameter! Right one is titanium and left one is surgical steel. Yes, I wear them all the time! Unfortunately I am pretty sure one or both of them is migrating. I can't decide if I should take them out, let them heal, and then go get them redone, or wait till they migrate out, by which point the part that gets pierced will already BE healed, and I can get them redone right away. I am thinking the latter just because it means I have pretty jewelry for longer! Next time I am getting 14ga barbells, though - more jewelry options that way! Oh, and they will both be professionally done...I already know I can pierce my own nipple, I don't think I feel the need to do it again though!

Why? I loves me my nipple/breast torture. And some people's reaction to getting pierced is that they can no longer handle nearly as much pain as they could prior. One friend went from being like me to having clothes pins on her nipples being too much to take. Other friends have had nothing like that happen.

But I'm not willing to take the chance!

I had mine done (left one) as part of a dare when I was 19. It didn't hurt at all. Unlike other piercings that may go through cartilage, the nipples are soft. I know everyone is different, but seriously, not an ounce of pain.

The funny thing was that the breast with the pierced nipple started to sit higher than the unpierced one.

I let it close up before I got pregnant.

I'd like to get both done again sometime.

My piercings had the opposite effect. I went from fairly insensitive to really unbelievably insensitive. Of course, it wouldn't surprise me if the migration of the piercings didn't damage the nerves in some way.

Ugh rejected piercings are awful eh?

My belly button piercing was pretty much rejected (my body was actually pushing the ring forward and out), but the ring snagged on my pants and just ripped out toward the end.

I have a scar there now, although it's not a huge deal as now I've got stretch marks up the whazoo from my pregnancy.

I rejected 3 nipple piercings - no I do not have three nipples, silly - I tried my left one twice. I also rejected 4 genital piercings including a PA. All were being pushed out.

oh well - I still have 4 others.
