Yeah, I like flowers. I like anything that grows. Perennials are great. Like old friends they show up once a year.

Is this one you are growing WD? I envy you if you can get indoor flowers to grow and survive. I always seem to kill mine, though lately I have found a couple which seem to be surviving longer than is the norm for moi.

Spring has sprung, my last one at this house...

One of the things I love most about our house, and what I know I'll miss, is the garden/yard. Especially in the spring. So with Malin and I painting primer all over the place this weekend, I thought, dammit, I'm getting pictures of everything that's blooming. Now, I'm very pleased with how they came out, because normally, I'm not that great with the camera. I especially love the lilac question.

Every spring I plant pansies out in the front planter and hanging plants. I love the burgundy ones this year...

They havent opened, mostly because they dont get enough full sunlight. But, here are my azaleas.

I'm going to miss them.. so much

When we moved into this house, it was January. So, imagine my surprise that first Spring when the lilacs came into bloom

That same Spring, I wondered what was growing under the tree in the backyard and was pleasantly surprised with Lily of the Valley

This was a big selling factor for the house.. bigger than the kitchen and the family room...

Flowers won't be blossoming for a couple weeks here yet. We just had the worst April snowstorm in history last week. 30-70 cm of snow over 5 days across the whole province. Our lawns still have a good amount of snow on them.

Great pictures:

I am learning to oil paint and i am wondering if any one of you would mind if i painted a copy of one of the flowers. Cat I especially liked your pics.

thanks

Feel free to use any of mine you wish to do a painting...I'd love to see them when you are finished if you do.:rose:
