The annual awards polls are posting as I type. Time to meander up to the awards forum and place your vote as the polls appear :)

Done and done. Voted for those stories I had already read. When I have time (hahaha) I'll go read the stories in the categories I don't normally read.

Wow. I had almost forgotten we'd eventually get to vote...

:D

Thanks for the reminder.

Voted on some. Waiting for time to read others. Turn out so far looks light.

Shoulda seen it last night. I cast the first vote on half the categories *laugh* The rest I can't recall reading enough of the stories to make a choice on, so it's up to finding the time to read.

It's going to take me days to finish the Portuguese and Romanian stories at the rate I'm learning.

I have to wonder, how can I express an opinion on a chapter? If a story is complete, and can stand on its own, fine. But some of these seem to start in the middle, with nothing to let anybody know what went before, unless I red the whole story.

You may just have to decide that any chapter without standalone qualities isn't going to really compete in your mind. Just because the rules allow for individual chapters to make the final cut, it doesn't mean you have to accept it and agonize over the inclusion when you're voting :)

Seeing as the site's highest paid, highest read, mostest voted on author didn't wangle himself a nomination this year, I guess it'd gonna be a quiet little contest.

Bump - it's a quiet weekend, what with Chicago and all, so it's a good time to catch up on some reading...

:D

Oh, I'm sure he will give us some reason for that. Maybe he'll claim he declined the nomination.

ETA: I wonder why the Mind Control Category is closed. It only has 12 votes, and none of them are mine.

Odd. I'd shoot off a PM to Laurel if I were you, probably a slip of the fingers when setting it up.

Okay, it is no longer closed. wonder why it was in the first place. :confused:Some kind of glitch, I suppose.

WTF? Who was dumb enough to put me up for "Most Influential Writer"?

I'm telling you right now. If I win I'll demand a recount!

Maybe it was a revenge type thing. :D

Maybe someone thinks if you win, you might actually write something with sex in it. Well, it could happen.

About the time hell freezes over.
