lol i should hope so, mrmike![]()
I'm actually trying to get some work done. Writing a report. So, I'm coming here for some distraction.
What are your plans for the evening? Something fun?
ooh i feel for ya.. i had to go into the office for a few hours this morning too. good luck with that report
my plans for the evening.. a girls' night out! we'll probably start with a few drinks at one of our favorite bars.. then hit up a club or lounge. got anything going on?
To answer both of your last two messages:
First, as to the demographic info, we already know I have a dick. Other than that, I am a professional who is both too married and too old for you to get involved with. Which would not stop me if the opportunity were to present itself.
As for this evening, assuming I finish this paper, I expect to take my wife to the movies tonight. Probably "Atonement." Unless you tell me what bar you'll be at, it turns out to be near here, and I have to work too late to go to the movies.![]()
lol oh darn, too married & too old?just for kicks, how old are you assuming i am?
as for tonight.. you don't happen to be near ny, do you?
let me know how you like atonement if you watch it, i've been meaning to go see that.
lol in all honesty, most of the bars we frequent are all on a few small blocks we like to call koreatown, but who are we kidding? since when did a few blocks constitute a town? hehe we don't get many non-asian people around there.. and really even i'm on the brink of being denied admission to some of these places because my age is creeping up on me. -sigh- whatever will i do then?![]()
Is that in the low 30's?
hmm let's just go with... 30 is right around the not very far corner![]()
LOL
I meant, is Koreatown in the low 30's in Manhattan.
As for your age, I cannot imagine any bar in the U.S. that would not welcome any woman, no matter the age, who looks half as good as you.
Mike
haha well shit, i revealed my age for no reason then! yes.. low 30s.![]()
I know there are a few Korean restaurants in the area. I've eaten there, but I'll never remember the name of the restaurant.
I didn't realize there were bars in the area that served a Korean community.
Guess that makes sense.
Do you live in the area? Rents must be through the roof.
mmm there are a buncha great korean restaurants in the area, i wonder which one you tried.
you'd be surprised at the number of bars and clubs, yes clubs, they've managed to cram into the few small blocks they've designated for us, koreans.
i don't live in the city anymore, but i did for about 6 years. rent is insane! i remember the first place i had was a tiny "studio" i paid $1500 a month for lol
Did someone designate this area as belonging to you? Or did you folks just take it over?
Was it worth the rent to live near the excitement? Was it a better life than being a suburbanite? Which direction did you move? (Is this too many questions?)
so, you think a 55 year old white guy would kind of be out of place in one of those bars? How would you react if I walked in?
lol i assume we just sort of took it over.. ya know, an invasian. *groan*
it was definitely worth the rent back then, but i couldn't imagine being surrounded by everything that is new york city now. i moved across the gwb to nji'd have to say i love being a suburbanite. close enough to party in the city whenever i want.. far enough away to escape the lights & sounds whenever i choose.
lol there wouldn't be any sort of noticeable reaction if you walked in. maybe a few furtive glances from all around.
