I felt an earthquake today for the second time in my life. Kinda spooky for someone living in Idaho. The epicenter was 150 miles from my city, but it was a strong enough quake (magnitude 6.0) that it made my building wobble back and forth. I was on the 5th floor; the blinds on the windows started swaying back and forth and knocking against the window-frames. The whole floor trembled.

Spooky.

And also kinda cool.

There was another terrible, long, bitterly cold winter when I was about nine. My best friend and I lived at opposite ends of a section eight apartment complex, and just walking across the courtyards to play Barbie required snowpants, parkas, hats, mittens, scarves and moon boots. One Saturday morning at the beginning of March, we decided to head out from her place in D building to mine in G building to watch Xanadu on HBO. We bundled up, as we had all winter. Just a few minutes into our walk, however, we both noticed that we were too warm. We took off our hats, hesitantly, and then unwound our scarves. We both took big, deep breaths and then, slowly unzipped our coats. She play shoved me and I shoved her back and we started to run. Our mittens came off and we laughed as we ran up and down every sidewalk in the complex. It's amazing how good sunshine and 20 degrees above zero can feel after months of this oppressive cold.

*POUNCE*

just fucking pounce! Miss you :kiss::kiss::kiss:

Just wondering if any of you all are experiencing this?

Usually, in the past, all my notifications that I receive from Lit of threads I've subscribed to having new posts come into my inbox around midnight. For the past several days, they are straggling in at all hours of the day. Three here, four there, etc. It's also taking the email I provided for that a lot longer to send notices of PMs to that same inbox. Is this an email thing or a Lit thing?

I hate feeling this vulnerable. Hate it. HATE IT.

Did I mention that I hate it?

*snuggles* I'll look after you for a bit, I will be like a shield of steel protecting you from the world *stands in front of you, arms outstretched*

Hey, no groping! :p
