The Construction Thread

The local plumbing inspectors are pretty thorough. Mine seems to work just fine.

Of course it works. The question is, will it work 10 years from now? maybe 5 if you dont get your tank pumped every 2 years.

So there is a flared fitting missing the floor that is supposed to suport a toilet.

Something is missing here?

Metal deterioates faster than anything. ABS bows and turns over time, as well as PVC will do. BUt it takes about 10 more years before PVC will do it, at least compared to what I ahve seen.

I know what you are saying. I see more non-workmanlike work out here then I can believe. We still have to use CI or copper on all commercial/industrial out here too.

Those Durham fittings are scary.

Xander, don't keep it a secret.

Pickle and hubby has done nothing wrong. I gave her and hubby a few pointers to what would make it better than what they have, and pointed out potential problem areas. Plus gave a few suggestion how they could fix it, without having it cost them an arm and a leg.

I'm just very weary about a tight 90 going into the toilet stack.

45 Deg. or less is better.

Since this is the construction thread, here's me and my hardhat (identifing info scribbled out of course).
