Girl Geeks...a tribute

I can't imagine anyone complaining if you did.....;)

lol. i can! i can imagine people mocking me for liking harry potter and being a total potthead. :( but harry potter was such a big part of me growing up. the first book came out when i was in elementary school and they just kept coming out until this summer when i was at a major turning point in my life going from a kid to a full blown adult. it was very daunting. harry helped me out a lot.

There's nothing wrong with that- a lot of people have grown up with them. You don't sell that many books unless you've written something that people want to read, and that's no bad thing.... I know people a lot older than you who are huge HP fans:kiss:

we will all need support groups and rehab when the last movie comes out.

i wish i had! were you ginny?

Heck, I'm 36.. and have read every book and own the movies. LOVE them. I'm not ashamed to admit it.

The Harry Potter books and movies were amazing. I never thought I would stand in line in a store at midnight just to buy a book. But I did it twice. For #5 and 7. Im not ashamed to admit it either. I have read each book at least twice(thats both creepy and nerdy), and have seen all of the movies more than once.

More proof, once again, that I am a geek. :D

wow...im gone for the weekend and the thread explodes...:)

so glad everyone seems to be enjoying it...

as to everyone whoe has lv 70 WoW characters, or enjoys sci-fi, or reads harry potter....

lol...love that movie...
when he goes home with the girl its one of the hottest sex scenes in history...
lol..when he wakes up and finds out shes 16...its one of the most sombering...:)

Have I mentioned you have great lips?

Anyway, lovely new pics, even if I am not at all a Trainspotting fan.

ya...i acctually havent read the book yet..been planning on it for a while just havent got around to it...*shrug*

I think Cloverfield sucked. As a denizen of NYC I could not believe how many geographical mistakes were made. IMO, it's totally unwatchable, ESPECIALLY is you have motion sickness. If you suffer from that, or vertigo, you WILL be sick.

And the ending...ugh, I still wanna know why they flew north over the city. And why they loaded Lilly up, when Beth had rebar through her damn chest and...well...

Anyhoo, .5/4, imo.

well....i gotta say...i dissagree with ya on the movie overall...i loved it.
but..i am not a denizen of NYC, so i did not realize, nor particularly care.lol...about the geographical mistakes.
tru..the movie was a bit shakey and if you have motion sickness problems dont go see the movie...but...once again..i dont have motion sickness so...:)
i thought the movie was a great kick in the pants to the monster movie genre....im a total movie geek and i love sci-fi, horror, and quirky flicks of all types (Ichi the Killer is one of my favorite movies)...
i thought that this was a total reinvention of a very old style of film (Godzilla anyone?)...but it was very well told story with very real feeling people in it.
the intrusion of such a fantastical situation into such a real-worl enviroment was so jarring to me also...i just ended up leaving the theater in a very paranoid state.....in a good way....:)

but hell...i liked the remake of Holloween so...lol...alot of people prolly think im stupid...;)

Seriously, it's like they didn't even use location scouts.
well since alot of the movie is CGI...very good looking CGI...im sure they couldnt get ALL of the details right...
was the location flubs really enough for you to hate the movie so?...
:D
